Total scam. I requested a service for a dishwasher, they gave me an appointment for the following week, and the technician will show up between 8and 12. He came around 9:45 to spend 10 minutes, stating that the dishwasher is non fixable, and they have to replace it because it's infected, BS.I have pests control and there is no sign of cockroaches or something similar in my house. We have had issues with our AC for 3 months and after AHS sending out numerous companies and dealing with a bunch of techs it’s still broke to this day. If I could give them no stars I would. They don’t back the companies they send to do repairs and do t look and do research on so companies they send cause some are garbage like we have been dealing with. I would give American Home Shield a negative number if I could, they don’t deserve a one or even a zero! The agent I spoke with reassured me multiple times that once I made it through the “30 day probation period” I would be 100% covered on the plan I chose, which included my AC unit. Eight months later my AC goes out, only for them to tell me that I’m not covered! This place is a SCAM and will tell you whatever you want to hear just to get your money! It is a joke! Will be suing them! I recorded all my conversations with them after the second lie! Been 3 weeks and about 10 hours on the phone! Learn to record how many times they lie to you from their script. We will see who has the last laugh! Don't get this insurance!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you do , record Every time you call!

2 Facts: 1. May 2019 when I was full term pregnant with twins, my air conditioning went out on the hot coast of NC. I was told I could have my babies at any moment, was very high risk and had two dogs that required the AC for safety (no boarding available) Heat indexes were in the 100s. AHS was 100% unable to help me get a technician to my house within 24hours, they were actually making me wait until the day of my C-section the following week even though I was very clear about my planned surgery. Today is the 9th day without hot water and finally they approved the replacement of my water heater, only to be told the soonest the plumber can come is 3 more days. They refuse to call another plumber to come out sooner. American Home Shield is the worst company I’ve ever had to deal with. They don’t even deserve 1 Star.

This company is a scam! My husband and I chose AHS to cover our home along with two other rental properties. We have placed 4 service calls in the last year with only 1 appliance being covered. We have had to wait up to two weeks for someone to come out and assess damage, have then had to pay for 4 service requests ($520), and have then been denied because “that specific part of the appliance is not covered”. Have been waiting on a response from "authorizations department" for a month. The first AC company they sent out deliberately and knowingly put in the wrong condenser. A year later the ac unit died again- the unit is now swimming in oil and they have the nerve to deny the new companies request for the proper part because the old one put in by the last idiodic company is still under warranty. My husband and I are not happy with the customer rep who handled our service call for our water heater. he said our issue was covered by AHS and proceeded to ask for our credit card information to pay the $75.00 copay. When the plumbing tech arrived, he informed us that the issue we were having was not covered by American Home Shield, and we would have to pay $250 for the service.
