I call american home shield for my refrigerator repair. it takes them 2 weeks to send a technician, tecnician comes and says its the motherboard. says they will be back in a week. 2 weeks goes by another technician comes and says its the compressor they will comeback after it has been approved. american home shield calls after 2 weeks and says another company will take care of the problem. guy says its under warranty. Terrible. I will NOT renew. If this contract (paid for by seller) didn't come with my new house, I would of cancelled already. Biggest issue is the technicians they send out. I've used my contract 3 times and had terrible service with each one. I'm now having to deal with the same kitchen faucet that was repaired 2 months ago again. I'm paying for another visit b/c the previous group only warranties their work for 60 days. I have an actively leaking (on the counter) faucet. It's taken 7 days to get someone here. Working with this company is insanity! I have a microwave needing repair for 2 weeks now and they say they called the contractor and the contractor said they didn't. There is an issue about taking the built in microwave out and it supposedly needs special authorization and nobody is getting it. They just informed me that an email needs to be sent from the contractor and it would take 24 hours. An email takes seconds, do they think they are dealing with a moron? My air condition compressor was replaced in 2017 then broke again 2019. Technician supposedly fix it but not working. . My AC still not working on this memorial weekend. The company states that they will be back out to fix on Memorial monday. In the meantime I have to sit and wait until monday without AC. No reimbursement or fee waiver. The consumer comes last with this company. Bad company.

Fixed Unit out of Code and bypass Limit switch which is out of Code. Plus other times not fixed to code. AHS does not take responsibility for the companies they send to your house. Installed wrong Compressor, Installed blower in wrong direction etccc.
American Home Shield is the worst company I ever had dealt with. When my A/C broke in the middle of June's heat in Arizona, they left me and my family in brutal AZ temperatures above 105 degrees 3 days waiting before they sent their 'expert' A/C company. When their so called 'tech' arrived first he made sure that he got his $125 service fee covered. Had a contract with them. They sent subpar vendors whose goals were always to maie sure American Homeshield didnt have to cover anything. Basically, you pay AHS to dictate who works on your house and still have to pay out the nose because they will find a way not to cover anything.
I called America home Shield a week ago about a some sink and toilet repair, they gave me a contract number, and said they would have a plumber contact me, affordable Leak detection was the name of the plumbing company, their Clerk called me to schedule an appointment. She explained to me it would be Monday of the following week before there could get her, I explained to her, that on Monday I had a doctors Appointment and if she had any openings on Tuesday. I purchased my home in September 2018 and had NOTHING but problems with my refrigerator. I have spoke to AHS several times and even went as far to talking to supervisor. The appliance company has been out to my home 9 times and every time it is a different issue. AHS is saying that the appliance company has to tell them the the refrigerator is not fixable before they will replace it.
