AHS took money out of our account because we REQUESTED service through their website. We never received a call or service. Not once but on 2 different occasions. Beware, key word is REQUESTED. When a REQUEST is submitted you are automatically charged $106 even if services are never rendered. We fixed the electrical problem ourselves. Stay away from AHS unless you want your bank account drained, $106 at a time. -10 stars!
Don't waste your money, they take forever to have repairs completed (you have to beg them to come back after initial visit). If item is determined non repairable will take months to get a replacement and don't even bother with cash out option, they will never reimburse you for agreed price.
In the middle on the coldest days of winter in Virgina, my heat pump stopped working. I called AHS for service. Initially the company they connected me with said they could not help me for several day. So I called AHS back and said they needed to find another company as the first company didn't have anything on their schedule to service my heat pump. So then about 30 minutes later the same company called me back and said they would come service my heat pump on that day. The technician came out for 10 minutes and said it was ... read more
I recently called Home Shield for two plumbing issues at a rent home that I own. Home Shield was prompt in providing me with a plumber. However, he wasn't able to service the address for three days. When he showed up, he was in the residence for two minutes and left. The issue was a hot water heater not providing enough hot water. And a sink that back up which he said wasn't called in as that. I gave specifics as to both issues, but he refused to service our home and left me a bill for $97.50. I had to get someone to service... read more
Terrible company to do business with,I had a home in Florida and they denied my claim for an AC unit even though it was covered in the plan and now I have a condo in Illinois and they refused to do the simplest work under the sink saying it was not covered . I am not going to let this issue go and it takes about 20 minutes to get anyone on the phone .Just the worst and most unreliable company to work with and will use any loop hole to get out of doing not paying the simplest tasks.

Hi Jerry, Thank you for posting a review and we’re sorry to hear that your experience was not of the quality you expected. I would be glad to speak with you to get the issues resolved.
Very disappointed when trying to call AHS and only getting automated service. Not even an email address is available only an noreply address. Seems like once signed up no more customer service - a big fat zero in my books.
It's Charleston...It's HOT...and my AC went out. I called AHS to see if I could get someone out TODAY. No.. it would be 4 hot days and 3 hot night before they could send someone out. The only way to expedite the service is if the Heat index was 105. What the heck am I paying for. So I called another HAVC company...they can be here in a two hours. Again...what am I paying for?

Good morning Victor, I understand your frustration in regard to the delay in service to have the air conditioner serviced. I would be glad to speak with you to discuss your experience.
My central A/C stopped working. AHS had their contractor contact me. They could not come for 5 days. On appointment day, their window of time for arrival at my home was from 9AM to midnight. They came. They diagnosed a leak in the coil in the attic. They told me I should replace both the inside and outside units. The outside unit would cost me around $8000. They told me AHS would cover a portion of the inside coil only. AHS told me that to replace the coil would cost me $2,200, close to $11,000 out of my pocket. I asked AHS ... read more

Good morning Abe, I understand your frustration in regard to the non covered cost to have the air conditioner system repaired. I would be glad to speak with you to discuss your experience.
Worst company ever. My first call for a repair of my oven was answered in about 15 min, they referred me to their appliance dept. he came out in a few days. Then it was down hill all the way. They couldn't fix it and they did not replace it, after 2months waiting for a solution they offered me $322.00 for a stove, a paid $75.00 for the service call that mount was actually $247.00 my new stove cost $647.00. That is NOT replacement.
