My experience always have been bad with AHS when it comes to repair. They take months to repair. Customer service is very bad. I think they are sitting somewhere in Asia and they don't understand your concern. My Air condition furnace was making sound, i called and have them some one come do the repair. He said we have to order part. I went on wait for 7 days. Finally got hold of AHS reps. She said you have to pay $75 for to create work order WTF!! Absolutely the worst consumer experience that I have ever had in my life. The vendors that they use for repairs are second rate, at best. I have had two different vendors out to repair a leaking pipe, and both times they did just enough for the repair to only last a few months. When I called AHS to request a follow up, I was told that their work was only guaranteed for 60 days and I would need to submit a new claim and pay a THIRD deductible. The way AHS treats its customers is criminal.
Wish I could give them 0 stars. Nightmare A/C repair that took 2 weeks to fix. They erroneously canceled technician to come diagnose problem, which delayed repair, then they kept telling me and the technician the part was in stock, but when he’d go to pick it up it wasn’t there. Every time I’d call to complain I got an international call center and those agents know NOTHING! Awful customer service. Stressful experience. We quit them.

FYI: Stop!! Do not use them. This is the company American Home Shield is in contract with! The scheduling was a fiasco and they showed up on the day I was moving and charged me.weeks later. The office lied about the scheduling problems. I had two properties and the second property the technician spayed water in unit and said he probably made it worse. I have been a loyal customer to AHS for 4 years. I have limited need to call for service repair. I unfortunately had to make call for service for my HVAC system. The contractor that AHS sent out to repair, miswired the system and caused the EMERGENCY heat to run continuously. This caused our electric bill to be 5 times the normal charge and caused overheating that burnt out our electric board. This is causing me to incur a repair cost of another $1000. I do not consider the issue resolved. I stand by my position that AHS is obliged to provide reimbursement for the work their crew performed. The issue was misdiagnosed and the work was unnecessary and I have provided sufficient evidence of such. AHS originally agreed to cover this expense due to the mistake and then renigned once the final bill came in. You have made it clear that AHS will make no effort to provide compensation. I am an American Home Shield Customer for about one week more. I had a water heater issue four months ago. It took me one month to get the issues resolved. The new water heater was replaced and went out today. Upon contacting American Home Shield, they told me to call the manufacturer of the water heater for repair. I have spent over 250 hours on the phone this year with this issue. Must go somewhere else

I’ve been a member for almost 3 years and have been dealing with an issue with American Home Shield for over a year. I called American Home Shield (6) times within a year for the same issue with my A/C unit and was told I would have to wait to get the diagnosis from the contractor when they came out every time.
