I’ve waited on hold for over 2 1/2 hours total for 3 phone calls to AHS. Today was over 40 minutes. Someone picked up the line and I said Hello and the line was just left open; I repeatedly said HELLO! AHS has debited my account for $75 in December for a phantom visit in June 2017. No help at all with phone calls, Facebook messages, emails. Also I am disputing this charge with my bank. Going to cancel contract if our account is not credited soon.
Airconditioner quit working and AHS had Bestway come out. The guy was here checking the outside unit for not more than 5 minutes and said mold was in the "electrical contacts area" of the unit. There was no inside checking of settings or other work done. He did not leave a written summary of the problem or anything else. He seemed like has in a hurry to do somewhere else. I think it's a great company but getting through to a human is ridiculous and the reason I don't use them anymore. I can't wait a min of 30 minutes to talk to someone. They're disorganized and growing faster than they can keep up. The service on any appliance I've had fixed has been wonderful and fast but the operations of the company needs to be revised.
Paid the policy for over 10 years. First service call I had to fight to get my money back. Second and last call, it was not cover because it was not normal wearing tare. The providers used seemed to be not reliable. The first time it took over five days, I did it in five hours. The second one did not return as promised. I had to call both American Home Shield and the provider to find out what was going on.
Waiting on the phone forever sometimes two hours or more.
I've been unable to speak to a real person regarding issues that can not be answered on the automated service.
Plumber came out said the faucet was leaking, not covered. Neighbor came over said is was the rubber tube from the dishwasher to the disposal. He replace it. Leak gone. Called AMS to get my money back. Agent said a supervisor would call me back in 48 hours. Never happened. Still trying to contact supervisor with no luck. Thanks a lot for being loyal to your customers. I will not recommend AMS to anyone. Signed a customer of 11 years.
I paid the extra fee to have septic coverage. It took more than 3 days and being on hold with customer service for an hour, just to be told, We are still looking for a vendor. Well its been a full WEEK now and I still don't have an appointment for repair. I have a contractor I think, but they have not scheduled me for service. This is so wrong ! I am very unhappy with American Home Shield. Their advertising gives you the impression they are there to help you 24/7, 365 days a yr. But in fact, yes, AHS is there but their vendors only work normal hours during the week and NOT on weekend. In order to even speak with a rep from AHS you are put on “hold” for anywhere between 1/2 hr to 1 hr. My last two calls happened on the weekend my AC was leaking water from under the unit.
