They try to deny claims as much as possible. When they don't deny, they get their vendors to call many of the repairs as customization so AHS doesn't have to pay for the labor. I had a water heater replaced and the AHS said the pipe to connect to the same size water heater is considered customization. I said how else is the new water heater supposed to be connected? Then the vendor charged me almost as much as the water heater to connect it to the existing pipes. They also use sub-standard and unknown vendors.
It was not easy to call and get a hold of an actual person to talk to. Once I did, the customer service person was very helpful and friendly. A person came to service our dryer and told us a part had to be ordered. 3 days passed and I called AHS to ask about the part. I hung up after I was on hold for over an hour. 4 more days passed and I called the company that came to service the dryer. AHS has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I called about a Service call that had been opened for two weeks already, waited on hold for 44 minutes, then was told I would have to call back because their computers were down. We have been without heat in our primary living space for three weeks now, with a one-year-old at home. They claim the part won't be available for several more weeks, but I can find it on Amazon, and a dozen other places, with two day delivery. I have had a contract with AHS since Aug 2017. I have used a couple of time with only minor issues such as contractor not calling to schedule, or contractor not following up when parts were in. Currently I am having a major issue with their business practice. I requested plumbing service for a broken sump pump. After the contractor analyzed the problem they concluded it was a result of a frozen pipe which is not covered by AHS. Issue was never resolved. AHS said damage was from someone actually damaging toilet when I have never touched. Will not recommend you guys and will make sure everyone knows about your customer service.
Less than HALF the time I get a call from a professional when I have submitted a request for service! Wait times when calling AHS are RIDICULOUSLY long and frustrating! They claim to cover all the important things, but FAR from the truth! There has been ZERO follow up on previous jobs that require patch-work!!
I have been a AHS customer for several years and the overall service has gone steeply downhill. I have not had heat in one of my rooms for over a week now. I called AHS and was left holding for 45 minutes, then over an hour and then 2.5 hours and I never spoke to anyone at customer service. This is the absolute worst company. They take forever to get technicians out and parts ordered. I was recently told by one of their service vendors that it would take one month to get someone out to look at our dishwasher. Their customer service departments are woefully understaffed so phone wait times can easily approach one hour. Employees and supervisors routinely do not call back as promised. Customer Service Dept - I am constantly placed on hold for 1 + hours, then hung up on having to call again to experience the same cycle. I requested a service repair, told to wait on parts then three weeks later advised the product must be replaced. It’s as if my time & inconvenience does not matter. Poor Customer Service!!!!
