Absolutely horrible experience. Our water heater went out on a Thursday night. I called American Hold Shield on Friday morning to request service. Three hours later I had a plumbing company from 50 miles away call me to say they were in my town and if I couldn't get there quickly, it would have to wait until Monday. AHS probably provided the WORST customer service I've ever experienced. I've been trying to fix my heat for over a month now with no success. Please note the snow storm and very low temps. With no heat, For over a month. I tried to contact AHS several times and no answer. They put me on hold and no one has answered the phone. The company they sent (BestWay Mechanical) won't answer their phone, And I've been calling non-stop for days now. Not a word. Don't waste your money and time. It's nearly impossible to get a human voice to make a service call. Wait time could be over an hour. The automated option is fine but with your new policy of payment first doesn't work well with me. I refuse to give a credit card or bank account number on line. I much preferr d the old way of paying the service call to the service provider.
Customer service needs to improve. I called three different times and both of those times I was on hold for over an hour. No one ever answered and I hung up.
Takes an average of 45min to contact AHS, and 4-5 visits over a month before replacing our refigerator.
Every time i call its a 45 min wait. this time one hour and 52 min. You cant email them either. And when they finally answer they have to transfer you to a different department and again wait for over 30 min. The worst possible customer service line ever.
First off: I have had a claim reimbursement in for over 60+ days now! I have been told it was mailed twice now. I still do not have it. I have had to pay late fees, etc to the contractor because of AHS's lack of fulfilling their promises. I have contacted customer service numerous times & get the same answer "its been mailed". Well, I want tracking on it & it expedited at this point! I am over constantly waiting and you can deduct $$ for my monthly fees instantly but can't reimburse me?
There was some time between the initial diagnostic and the actual repair. As a result, the items in my refrigerator spoiled and had to be thrown out. It was difficult for me because I have children and elderly parents in my household. But the repairs were ultimately completed and seems to be in working order.
The only way to contact them is via phone and the wait for a representative is much longer than the recording states
