Customer service is horrible. Most of the time it takes over an hour to get to a customer service representative when you call in. If you have any urgent needs, the reps are very unhelpful in getting any timely service. I've asked to speak to a supervisor & the reps will refuse to put a supervisor on the line.
One hour wait time no matter when you call. I have had 4 things break in the last 2 years and nothing has EVER been actually repair only I'm still charged $125 each time. I have a dryer that they said was not covered because of water damage. I have another dryer that they said MUST be the same since it was in the same vicinity and never came back. American Home Shield contracted Total Air Care in May to replace the evaporator coil on my HVAC unit. It took until August before the repairs were “complete”. In October our unit underwent its annual inspection and was supposed to be cleaned. However, the company we contract with to do this refused to clean it until it was repaired as moisture had damaged the unit. I am not happy with the service we received last week on our dishwasher. The dishwasher is still broken. It is not pumping out the water and again I have a dishwasher full or yucky smelling water. He DID NOT fix the problem. I want someone else to come out and fix it.
long wait on telephone. only to find out plumbing issue not covered. I have had this policy for 17 years and will not repair drippy faucet.. stated it was not covered ... why I am not covered when I carry plumbing policy.. too many clauses.. they state if you read your contract.. I have not read it in 17 years.. did they change it on me? calling out plumber tommorrow
Website inoperative. Telephone 3 hour wait to speak to customer service. Service providers unavailable for more than 48 hrs. Called by service provider 3 days after request.
I had this company for over seven years. My dishwasher had a leak and required a replacement. First, I had difficult time working with AHS customer service ...impossible to get a call thru..always busy....kept me on hold for over an hour. It took me over 30 days to get a replacement. I recommend saving your money for a rainy day. I dropped them soon after getting my dishwasher installed.
I had a big issue and had to snail mail them information since the phones went down and there was no other way to contact them, besides snail mail, and haven't heard anything else from them. I have had Ahs for 4 months and I am very displeased with them and their contractor. My washing machine broke I called it in the contracor came out to fix the washer, he said it needed a drain hose they ordered it. It took a week to come in. When they came back the 2nd time to put the drain hose in then they told me it needed a new motor. They then came out again because it still was not working this time I was told it needed a transmition and a timer. Its been 3 weeks still have not shown up with the Transmition or timer.
