I have been attempting to contact their customer support line for over 2 hours now to get a basic breakdown of what my repairs will cost me and what is/is not covered. After over 2 hours of being on hold, I finally got a real customer service rep on the phone. Information was given, account was looked up, but after 2 minutes of being on the phone, the rep, with no warning sent me back to the automated main menu only to get put on hold AGAIN for over an hour! Your services is okay but the amount of time spent trying to file a claim is not professional. Why do customers have to hold on for and hour or more to file a 10 minute claim. You need to invest in a better phone system. You can hire telecommunication persons that can take information and call it in and place the claims. I know that major companies hire at home workers to intercept calls and the customer does not know it’s a telecommuting service. So, American Home Shield has sent a technician 5 or 6 times to repair a problem on my fridge and so far were unable to fix the problem. I have called several times, last time after 30 minutes waiting on the phone, finally somebody answered the phone, but was not able to solve my problem (she wanted to charge me for another service call, not knowing what is the procedure for an existing issue) so she just hang up on me. AHS is by far the worst company I had to deal in regards to service...... WORST.
AHW will read your review first and decide if they want to post it first? That doesn't sound quite fair, sort of how they run their business, They take your money and run & hide. The WORSE company I have ever dealt with. I will NOT recommend them to anyone and tell EVERYONE I know to NEVER use this company. I had been living in a 17 year old house for the last 8 years. I had a leaky pipe attached to my shower. They refused coverage because they said it was not normal wear and tear because the original plumbing was done badly. I explained that I had been there for 8 years and this was the first time it leaked. They still refused. They are the nightmare company that will take your money but find an excuse not to fix.
They broke my microwave, charged me the $125 fee and did not take any steps to fix it. Very unhappy with the service.
Im going to let the facts be known and my review better not get deleted by your staff. We have had 2 horrible experiences with your unqualified people you send out for repairs. American home shield comes up with bs excuses why they won't cover something to get you to give in and pay. A recent contractor you sent out was too stupid and refused to fix a 3 dollar pull chain switch on our ceiling fan, instead wanted to say the fan needed to be replaced and charge us an additional 225.00 to get the job of screwing us over. Their phone services is not good. Waited over hours and just to be hung up on. I'm not to happy right now. Wasted my time today call in for a request on celling fan. I went online to try that way and even worst no detail to request another different problem. I think I'll be shopping for new service soon.
American home shield did not help me out any my air broke and they sent someone out to look at it he wasn't even there five minutes and he was gone then get a phone call from American home shield saying they was not going to fix it because it was pre existing problem which was not the case said there was oil and stuff all round it that's been there awhile special I decided to go check for my self and it was clean nothing was found I cancelled my warranty and I will not recommended American home shield to anyone and I mean an... read more
