Customer service is terrible. They will answer the phone in a heartbeat if you are starting new warrenty but if you need a warranty honnored forget it! Our heat is out and we've waited on hold all day to speak to someone about getting our service call upgraded to an emergency. That is ridiculous!

Very good customer service, and following up on service calls. However the wait time for obtaining a service call is extremely poor. I waited on hold for 1 hr 10 mins before connecting with customer service.

I have been a long time AHS customer and have been especially pleased with the technician we've had to have a couple of times. The company service team has responded quickly and with good customer friendliness. I am upset this year, though, because of what I feel was an unwarranted increase in our premium. I will reluctantly consider alternative options this renewal because I am on a fixed income and need to be cost-conscious.

I contacted AHS regarding a leaking pipe in October. The technician came out and it has been 3 months with a hole in my wall and leaking pipe. In October I called AHS regarding a leaking pipe believed to belong to the toilet. I took off from work (missing a day of pay) to meet a plumber contracted through AHS. The plumber said he was not even a plumber; that he was a handyman instead. He told me to wait 90 days and call back after if it is still leaking after replacing a toilet flap. I had been using them for over 7 years now. I had a Water heater replaced in 2012 and it only cost me $75 as promised. Just last month I had our other Water heater replaced (downstairs) and it ended up costing me over $1000.00 out of pocket! When I contacting Home Shield they stated that the contract "terms" have changed and they no longer cover code upgrades? We requested a plumbing service to unclog a toilet. AHS sent us a company from Detroit (1 hour away from East Lansing). The guys came and did not even try to unclog the toilet. They said we need a new toilet and left. They were here for 5 minutes. The guys were dirty and smelling of cigarettes. I contacted a second company (local plumbers) who came and unclogged the toilet for us ($225 out of pocket expense). I have been trying to contact AHS for a reimbursement since then. Currently awaiting a furnace to be installed by Greenway. I have been waiting for over two weeks. The temps in the Memphis area is currently mid twenties with ice and some snow. The wait is even more severe due to me being a cancer patient. This Is unacceptable service. Greenway states they are waiting for the furnace to be sent by American Home Shield.

Very poor service, takes hour waiting to talk to customer service and they don't full fill their obligations. Made excuse not to cover the product. Horrible customer service.

Horrible. If I cooul d give a 0 I would. 30-90 minute hold time just to speak with someone, no supervisor available for escalations, was told 24-48hr turnaround time was never contacted, sent inexperience tech's who appeared to be on drugs, work order wasn't submitted at time of call, was promised my service fee would be waived and it wzsnt,agents fail to document account.
