The worse customer service exp ever. No way to call if you work a 9-5 job, on hold for at least an hour. No way to cancel only one apt made. Called to cancel, CS person said she did, appliance repair guy showed up anyway. No way to get an apt in less than a week. If its an emergency you're screwed, or wait on hold to complain. Finally got someone to say I could use repair outside network, they would pay me back. HA - no even after emailing receipt, CS person does not email back. Apparently they are not allowed /wtf? Our year home warranty with American Home Systems was adequate. The service time was extremely fast and the contractors were qualified, polite, and helpful. The $75 trip charge was slightly below normal rates. We were pleased with the speed of service. When one particular problem persisted for 2 months, the technician was repeatedly sent back to try to remedy the situation without additional charge. Be careful with AHS....1/4 of the time they are good, but 3/4 of the time they are outright awful and unfair. NEVER PAY YOUR TRADE SERVICE FEE ON-LINE IN ADVANCE. I have had a couple of occasions where I paid the fee on-line and the service person claimed the visit "isn't covered"....then they don't return the fee.....they keep the fee without doing any work....despite knowing why I am calling.... When calling customer service, they will take issue with you and treat you like you are wasting their time..... AHS is a company ... read more

I called after our last service, 2 months ago. Never received a call back. Called in a claim on our pool and was told we could expect a call from the pool company in 24 to 48 hours. After 5 days with no call we did get a new company. Paid the $75 service call per our contract. When they finished the job I was told there was a $275 balance. When I questioned it I was told it was for materials. A 6inch scrap piece of PVC and some glue. When I refused to pay them he said someone from AHS was supposed to call me. If zero stars was an option you would get negative zero stars. Your reps are rude and condescending. One even hung up on me when I asked for a second opinion on the plumber you had sent out. Absolute garbage. Every single review I read about this company also says that they have issues actually getting any work completed. What exactly are we paying for when you send out less than qualifies vendors that deny there is an issue and just days later there is a larger issue that could have been corrected before it was more costly ... read more

I have been attempting to have a return repair on my Heat. They initially fixed it Saturday 1/20/18 by moving a loose wire. By Wednesday it was not working. I called at 6:40 AM Thursday ordered a return repair, did not hear anything, called again at 10:08 and was assured the service co would be calling. No calls. Again called Friday AM at 9:00. Very poor customer service. Issue: Wait time is consistently about 30-45 mins. Recommendation: hire more staff, set up live reps on an auto call back system. I called 2-3 times re a billing issue ea rep stated the issue well be taken care of - at 1 point one rep told me to do the follow-up billing process. Each rep assured me the billing would be corrected --- is was not correct, I continue to pass due statement on a paid bill.

On hold over 7 hours with multiple calls. My original service was cancelled by AHS since they couldn't get a vendor out to me within their allowed timeframe. It was 7 weeks between my original request and the service repair appointment - for a refrigerator. Lost all my food in the meantime. Sad experience with AHS. Used to be a good company - have had them 10 years but see no reason to continue. Giving them all that money each month for them to do nothing seems like a waste.
