Difficult to get approval to replace broken items

everything was fine til i had a large ac problem--then they wanted to cheap out.
I recently became a member of American Home Shield and had an issue with my faucet in the bathtub. Within hours that had set me up with a local plumbing company that came out and fixed my issue.

The process could be smoother to authorize the additional out-of-pocket charges so that repair can be finished faster. There should also be a plan available to move to newer AC units so that the extra charges for coolant can be eventally eliminated.
