I love American home shield, if I had to change anything it would be making phone contact. It has gotten very hard to talk to someone so they get the full story of your problem. I called once and it had a call back service. Please use that 24/7 that would be awesome.
Worth it! I have had AHS since I purchased our home in 2018. I was alittle worried due to some of the reviews I've read. But I have contacted them a few times for service & never had an issue. Well just last week my furnace went out & could not be repaired. They replaced my furnace within 2 business days. They were very responsive and fast! The coverage is definitely worth having! Thank you AHS!
During the cold snap we had, my furnace needed service ASAP. I was scheduled within a reasonable time frame. Everyone was polite and helpful during this stressful time. And my service man "Q" was AMAZING. Polite and professional. And he cared.

AHS has been our Home Warranty provider for over 20 years. We have more than one property covered by AHS. Over the years we have been mostly pleased with the service. There have been a few times when the service provider assigned for an issue was either unprofessional or exhibited bias driven behavior and/or service. We have had 2 contractual disputes regarding interpretations of coverage. The final determination for both did not cause us to change provider. We have and will recommended AHS to family and friends.
One of the best investment ever. We have an older home and at times have been hit with a home expense. Had we not had AHS, we would’ve had a different Christmas. We had AHS on three different homes we’ve owned, at various times. Prompt, experienced, and reliable service providers, as well as a manageable monthly cost. As I wrote above, one of the best investment we’ve made.
#1 Garage Door was a dream to work with. The technician started the visit making sure he was Covid-19 safe. After a series of questions about my door's behavior, he knew exactly where to go looking for the problem. It was a blown 16 year old logic board. He replaced it, did a safety check of all the other components. I was very happy with their service.
