There were two of them who came out for my heating system and they were good. This is the first time I've used American Home Shield and it was good. It was really easy.
My air conditioner unit wasn't distributing air upstairs and downstairs equally. The tech that AHS sent out had to replace a couple of pieces that weren't working properly and everything's working fine now. For this claim, I called AHS, made the claim, and they had someone contact me in my local area to come out and do the service. It was fairly quick and I have no complaints. I also knew the guy who did the work since he came out to service me before I even had American Home Shield.
We had moved into a new house and we remodeled the kitchen. The worker that did the demolition of the old kitchen, and subsequently, the plumber that put in the new plumbing fixtures, told us that our regulator was leaking. It's a big, two-story house. We have two air conditioning units in the house and one of them was blowing warm air. The technicians came out and found that there was a switch on the outside unit that was loose. They jiggled it back into place but they said that if it happens again, to call them back and they could come back and replace it. A couple of weeks later, the power had been off. The guys who came out for the larger air conditioning unit were very professional, on time, and very accurate. The guy who worked on the air conditioning downstairs was early which I like. He was accurate with everything. Every question I had, he answered it. Everything I’ve had go wrong with my house, I just submit a claim with American Home Shield and the contractors come out, probably not that day, but the next day or the day after. They're out here fixing whatever my issue is.
My refrigerator wasn't freezing. I gave American Home Shield a phone call, and the claims process went very well. Sears ordered the part and had it shipped to my house. I then called them once it came in and they came right back out. They were excellent. They came in my house even with this COVID-19. The little LED lights on our fridge and freezer went out. Submitting the online claim was very simple and it took less than two minutes. The technician was great. He knew exactly what the problem was and he was very prompt and professional about it. They were cool and I would definitely recommend them.
American Home Shield's tech from Mr. Appliance of Oklahoma was amazing. She replaced my ice maker and fixed what was wrong with my freezer. She cleaned up her mess and there wasn't one piece of ice on my floor. She even offered to wash the towels used by hand. It was a great experience and I was quite pleased.
