They were really quick to respond to my plumbing problem in our shower/tub. The technician (JR) responded to the plumbing problem that we had. He was very friendly and professional. Once I explained the problem we had he got right to work and fixed the plumbing issue within about 30 minutes. He explained what the problem was and left. He was very polite and professional. I highly recommend this Company. I have no complaints. Thanks
I just renewed the policy about two months ago so this is my second year with American Home Shield. I normally pay one year upfront but I went to month-to-month in my renewal for this house because I was wasn't happy with something I had done last year. But this time, it was excellent. We had water that was leaking in the area where our hot water heater was. We thought it was the hot water heater itself. But when the technician came out, they checked it thoroughly and it turned out that it wasn’t the hot water heater. We talked about different scenarios and then finally, we filled up the washing machine and let it drain out and that was the culprit. The plumbing was stopped up. The water heater problem was solved. Service was great! Respect to the Covid concerns were followed. Will call back for any other problems. The service was very professional and the response time to my problem was fast.
We're very happy with American Home Shield but sometimes, it takes a few days to have somebody come out. It's easy to submit a claim but if you have a problem or a question, you have to get direct permission from God to talk to a human being from AHS. But everything worked and it went really good. The contractor who came out was very nice and did a great job. American Home Shield did what they said they would do.
On weekends, filing claims with Home Shield is a little harder. I would put in a request online that I needed a service and it would take a little longer to get a company to call me to set up the appointment. But overall, I've had a good experience over the years. I wanted them to come before the cold season came for a pre-season check-up. During one of the hottest days in the summer, I realized that my AC was not working. My realtor was very helpful and she got me my AHS policy number. She told me to contact them so I could file a claim a lot easier. It took a month for the claim to get approved and a couple more weeks for their contractor All Hours Mechanical to get to me. AHS's refrigerator company has also been on backorder for a couple of months. Still, the process was straightforward and easy.
The guy from Sears was friendly, knowledgeable, and was able to fix the problem. This guy was really good. I was pleasantly surprised. All of the other companies that I've used had the shoddiest repairmen ever. They were on Google the whole time trying to find out how to fix the thing. They were not knowledgeable about how to fix stuff. Some of them have been horrible to the point where they have no idea what they're doing, and they don't fix it. I really like American Home Shield. Contractor response was prompt and quick. Appointment was arranged within 24 hours. Arrived on time, friendly, professional and fixef another issue he noticed that was not requested too!
