Our fridge was broken and not repairable. The claims process was awesome. We got everything we needed. The contractor did everything they were supposed to do. They were in and out and it was quick. We selected how we were going to replace it and we already have our new fridge. Everything ran smoothly. Really good experience.
I had a water pipe leak in my basement. It's the three-quarter inch plastic tubing and a slow leak on an elbow that was probably a cup of water per day. American Home Shield’s website was fine when I made the claim and I was quickly contacted. I got a text and then, a scheduling notification about someone coming out. The tech who came out for the pre-season check-up was very professional. He had his mask on, put something over his shoes, and everything went well. He checked and we had just put a filter in, and he said it didn't need changing. Everything was okay. With American Home Shield, I hate waiting for 20 to 40 minutes to get them because I'm not online but I like the convenience of having somebody.
Our ice maker broke on our fridge. It was super easy to file a claim with American Home Shield and their technicians were great and quick. I was just telling somebody about it the other day who was looking for a home warranty.
I was pleased with the second contractor. The first one tried to rip me off. He tried telling me I needed a whole new unit. He claimed there was a bunch of stuff up there that was broken that wasn't. The second guy that came went up there and was able to explain to me what needed to be fixed. He was able to fix it. It seems with American Home Shield, the contractors are getting paid no matter what. The refrigerator door wouldn't close properly and Sears came out. They had to order parts and it took a week to get the parts in. Once they had them, they came back and they did a good job.
I like to know that I have someone who I can trust. The technicians are knowledgeable about their jobs and how to fix the issues. to fix the issue at hand.
I had some electrical issues. I had a little duct, the heating and air conditioning. I thought I had a dead vermin in my duct but I didn't. American Home Shield had Patriot Electric in the program. They came out and took a look and got it all fixed up. They were good.
Circa Mechanical texted the day before, with a reminder that I have an appointment the next day. So, I was more impressed with them than some of the other companies we’ve had. The tech was amazing. He was prompt and called to say he was on his way. He showed up when he said he was going to be here.
