I like the ease of scheduling repairs. It’s only after you start dealing with some repair companies dispatchers that the service suffers. The can be very busy and you get their voice mail. In some cases they do not return your call until they need to talk to you. Depending on the service you needed, AHS could be good or bad. In my experience, plumbing repair was excellent, kitchen appliance repair was good, air conditioning was bad.

They found a plumber very quickly and he repaired my problem within an hour.

They have great coverage. Our old company was irritating to work with. It was impossible getting anything replaced. We basically got gaslit about appliances being broken, etc. and calling them was a nightmare. AHS is a joy to work with. I can file claims online (though that could use some work). Customer service is always a pleasure to talk to. At least once I got the 'good' phone number from a repair person. The number on the website is problematic.

Have used American Home shield on 3 different occasions at 2 different homes and they were very quick to respond and followed up to see how the contractor did and if we were pleased with the outcome!! Very good customer service!! And great value!!
