D&T came out to fix the electrical outlets in the kitchen and it was nothing but a fuse needed to be switched back on. I called in the claim to American Home Shield and they got in contact with D&T and then they had them call me. I got a message saying someone would contact me within a day or two, which they did. They scheduled the appointment. The day of the appointment, they alerted me that they were on the way to my home. They were on time for the appointment. They came in and left professionally. The gentleman that came out did a good job. He was very informative. Home Shield's service seems to be pretty good. Our initial estimate with the original repair was gonna be a little later but it didn't work out with our schedule. But they were able to rearrange it and get somebody out when we needed it. So that worked good.
The contractor who came out for my refrigerator claim was good and it was easy dealing with him. It was easy to submit the claim and the experience was great. The refrigerator is running really good now.
So far so good. It takes only a day or so for the contractor to come out and look at the problem. So that process is great. I'm just disappointed with the garage door. The guy called American Home Shield and they said they didn't cover it. I lost my $100 just like that. He was not here 10 minutes. We also had a claim for the air conditioner. Prompt service and have fixed my issues both times, the contractor they sent was thorough and cared about helping.
The refrigerator stopped working and the technician was very knowledgeable and professional. They had to order a part and it took a while to get it. But other than that, it went well. I've always used AHS whenever I purchase a home. It's a good thing to have because you don't know what to expect when you're buying a place.
I had a washing machine give out a few months ago. Someone came in and observed what happened to the machine, and then it was replaced. Recently, I had a pool pump that wasn't turning on. In this case, the difference was that my pool pump wasn't replaced with a new one. It was replaced with a used pump, which I was told that’s what I was going to be getting. The appointment went pretty well. They were fairly efficient. My wife and I stood by to see if they had any questions about the system. They were looking at the furnace and checking carbon monoxide levels for a preseason checkup. The technician gave us some recommendations and said, “I can see the unit's fairly old. We had a leak in the bathroom and we filed a claim with AHs online. It took a week to get an appointment but the plumber from Brick Street Plumbing that came out fixed the leak pretty quickly. He had to go and get part then come back. It was on the same day. He was very professional.
