The contractor never came back the second time because they said there was nothing they could do. When they came the first time, they augered the plumbing line. They said that should fix it for about a year and the only way to totally fix it is to redo my entire sewage system, which I don't have the budget for. It only lasted less than a day. I filed a claim with Home Shield for my refrigerator and my dishwasher. 7 H came out and the service person was fine but I had to wait for 8 to 10 weeks for the part to came in. The part was on backorder and I was without a dishwasher and I could use the refrigerator but not the vegetable bin. They fixed the dishwasher but my refrigerator is leaking again. My air conditioner was making a horrible noise, and you couldn't keep it running. I called American Home Shield and the first people they put me in contact with did not do wall air conditioners. I told them I live in a condo, on the second floor, so they should have known it was a wall. But when they came, they said that they don't do them. So, it went back to AHS again. When I submit claims to American Home Shield, I go online, submit the claim on their site, and then they schedule me with a contractor. A rep from the company AHS schedules me with calls me and I would then make arrangements for when they will come out to fix my issue. Most recently, the door of our dishwasher wasn't opening and closing properly. I had a very good experience with the contractor they sent. Everything has been working great since the repair. I really like AHS.
Our ice maker was broken and American Home Shield responded within minutes of submitting an online claim for it. The technician was good. He seemed very knowledgeable. The first time he came, he was only here for five minutes. He was able to diagnose the problem and then said that he was gonna need to come back. It's been three weeks now since the repair and everything is working fine. Overall, the experience was easy and seamless.
I had issues with my breaker box. American Home Shield's process for submitting claims is good. They set up an appointment and send somebody out to me. The tech they sent was very informative and professional. He helped me but what I was looking to have done is not covered by my warranty. Having AHS has been wonderful. I should have had their service a long time ago. They are efficient and timely.
American Home Shield had a special going on for checking the heater before the winter got here. They contacted Carolina Air Heating and Cooling. They came out and checked that. The guy was very nice. He came in, explained everything to me and put my air filter in. Everything is working good. American Home Shield is very good. It was recommended to me by some guy and I thought it was a good idea. I’m a widow and it reminds me of what I have to do. It also helps with appliances. I just got a dishwasher as well.
I had water coming from underneath my fridge and my icemaker wasn't working properly. Ramey Appliance Repair was able to schedule me within a week and have the repair done. I had to cancel on them once and they were very understanding then rescheduled me right away. They called ahead and let me know when they would be there. They cleaned up after themselves, wore masks and booties, and they were very timely. I've been so happy with American Home Shield that I've actually had friends take policies out with them.
I got the warranty as something that was included in the purchase of my house and I took advantage of it twice. AHS has taken me out of two difficult situations and I'm pretty satisfied. Right after I moved around November of last year, I had issues with my dryer. The repair guy came out and he checked it. Unfortunately, the parts were no longer made for that so they purchased a new dryer and AHS reimbursed me completely.The last time, I had issues with the washer, and AHS scheduled the appointments really quickly.
