American Home Shield seems to only cover stuff that's above ground. I have a basement so that'd be nice if they covered stuff that was below ground too. But they cover a lot for what I pay monthly. They're pretty upfront and straightforward. Recently, Master Tech came out and fixed the problem on my tub that wouldn't drain.
Since the contractor repaired the pool pump, it seems to be working good. I’ve had a few experiences with American Home Shield but that was the most recent one. Overall, it’s been great.
We ended up canceling our most recent claim because the person that American Home Shield sent to us didn't do that type of repair. The gentleman called me and told me that he didn't know why he got assigned to my case. He said he was gonna put in there to cancel it with no charge. We did have a situation with our AC and the technicians would call to say when they were gonna be out, what the problem was, and how were they gonna fix it. I've been surprised of how great everything's been with American Home Shield. You sometimes... read more
The icemaker was leaking and making a big iceberg in the in the tray so that I couldn't pull it out. So I kept turning off the icemaker, turn it on a little bit, and then turn it off and take the big rock out. Then when the ice was done, I turned it back again. So I needed to keep attention to it. It was broken. The tech came out and changed the icemaker. Everything is good after the repair. I also had a claim when the microwave was not working. It was doing like a sound and a smell to it like something is burning. So I turn... read more
I tell everybody about American Home Shield. I love it and I've always had wonderful experiences. Everybody on their staff is friendly. The only thing that I don't like about it is that you can only change your contract at a certain time of the year. I think that I should be able to do that at any time and AHS could just modify my contract and make any type of payment adjustments that might need to be made. But I really would not own a home without having American Home Shield. I think it's silly to not have a home warranty a... read more
The fluorescent light fixture wasn't working at all. Eagle Electric's tech repaired it and everything's fine now. He was very good. Home Shield takes care of you.
Professional referral, timely response, satisfactory service and serviceman very thorough and Covid conscious!!
We have three AC units and one of them kept clicking on then turning back off immediately. It was like struggling to turn on. The heat kept rising in that area of the house which is the main living quarters so we had put in the request to have that issue addressed. The contractor came out and it was a thermocouple that had seized up and had to be replaced. They did a very good job and it was such a smooth process. I loved it.
When we need American Home Shield, they are there. I requested a check-up and maintenance from them online and their site was user-friendly. The contractor they sent was good and everything went well.
