Submitting the claim to American Home Shield for the refrigerator was awesome. It was a four-door refrigerator from Samsung and it was a problem refrigerator because it had several air compressors but my freezer wasn't freezing. Sears came out three times and then, a Samsung representative came out because Sears said it was beyond their capability. The refrigerator was replaced and AHS gave me a good price, which was $2800. We called up AHS the first time and the guy came out, checked the system. He cleaned out the drain and said it was okay. When I came home about a week or two later, I decided to change the filter on it. Then I noticed water was coming down onto the filter. So I called AHS again and had them send the contractor out again. The second guy that came out found out exactly what the problem was. We've had several deals with AHS and they are very responsive. They say they call within a certain amount of time and they always call. When you first make your claim, they get back to you very quickly. Most recently, one of the ground fault outlets wouldn't reset and we kept trying to reset it. It affected other outlets around the house. The technician came and immediately diagnosed it and determined it was faulty. He replaced it very quickly and did a good job. I was having an issue with my crawlspace boiler which I thought was very noisy. Scheduling an appointment with American Home Shield was easy. I just click things and submit. A tech from Cozy Comfort Heating and Comfort came. It turned out that what was noisy was my sump pump. Still, while the tech was at my place, he tuned the whole boiler system for two hours and worked on it to make sure that it had the right pressure and water in for the steam heat in my home to be circulating properly.
I called in when I submitted my claim to American Home Shield and it was simple. They gave me a number to call and I made a reservation with the electrician. I missed them the first time. I had to reserve again because I didn't hear them ring the doorbell. So, they came back a week later. The electrician checked the oven and found out that it was a light or switch. My recent claim with American Home Shield went well. The contractor came and fixed our AC and now it is working. Last July, my AC went out as well. The contractor was late and not as professional. But it did get fixed. But this guy was perfect. He came the next day and within the timeframe he was gonna come in. I'm satisfied with American Home Shield.
We were getting a reading in our thermostat that the system was not operating. We thought that it was a thermostat issue and I had done all the do-it-yourself things that I was instructed to do on the webpage for the utility company and that didn't seem to solve the problem. The dryer was turning but it wasn’t heating and I used the online system to submit a claim to American Home Shield. There’s an automated system that comes and tells you that they'll reach out to you and also lets you know you could call them. Since it was just a dryer repair, I waited for them to call me and they called the next day. It wasn't a big deal. The contractor, A’s Appliance, was good. My washing machine wouldn't spin. I went online to submit a claim to American Home Shield and found their process extremely easy. Their system told me that I can expect their contractor in three to five days. They sent Quick Fix Appliance Service. However, the process took a little longer 'cause they had to order parts and at the time, we had a big storm. Eventually, they put a new electrical board in my washing machine and repaired it.
