When we purchased the home, our realtor said she was going to get us a home warranty. We've purchased several homes over the years and you get a home warranty but it's completely useless. We rarely used them or when we did use them, we didn't get very good service. I started researching online and American Home Shield, by far, had the best ratings. My son got American Home Shield for me and it went wonderful with Oak Valley. The guy explained some stuff to me that I didn't even know about. He was really good.
DCS Solutions came out for our AC claim and they fixed us all up. They were really quick to respond and the tech worked really hard to get it done. He was really nice. Also, he wore his mask the whole time and was keeping his distance. It's been good with AHS so far and I appreciated the quickness of the way everything happened. We have a 1-year-old and it was super hot in the house.
I submitted a claim with AHS because I have an issue with the bathtub drain. The water doesn't go down. It does, but it takes a really long time. Right when you turn on the shower, it's like filling up already. But I'm still waiting for the contractors. They had to reschedule. They were backed up or something. But the service of AHS has been good.
I had heard about AHS from another friend and they were everything I expected to be. My refrigerator was not cooling properly and the ice maker wasn't working. The technician came to check it and told me I had too much in the refrigerator and I need to move some back so it could get some air. I still see a little water on the shelves, but I have no problem with the technician.
American Home Shield is the best. They're superior, stupendous, and spectacular. I love them and I've been with them for years. The claims process is awesome and fantastic.
I was having issues with a booster pump for the pool. I made claim and I did everything online. That was fine. I got a text later that it had been assigned to a local contractor and it was taken care of within a week. It was good. The contractor was on time and was professional. He got the job done. When I had an air conditioner issue, it was the same thing. American Home Shield assigned the claim to a contractor within a day or so. They were out within a few days and it was fixed. I've been very pleased.
The garage door would go down halfway and then come right back up. The technician from Flash Garage Door found the problem. The sensors weren’t lined up properly and he came to find out that it was a spider web in front of one of the sensors. When the wind is blowing, the spider web is blowing. My poor son was here doing his wash but the washer was stopped up. He turned it off and we had to clean all that up. He wrung out his clothes the best as he could and put them in the dryer. We thought that the washer was broken and we asked for a company for it. We just told them it was a blockage and a guy came. It cost us $75 but we found out what was wrong.
