I had an issue with my air conditioner. I called up American Home Shield and they took care of everything for me, including the scheduling. Things have been working well since then. I'm quite happy with AHS.
My dryer was acting weird, making funny noises, and it wasn't working properly. The contractor responded the next day and fixed it quickly and very professionally. He had a piece of what was needed and changed it immediately. So, it was a great service and it was awesome. I did another claim with American Home Shield a week before that one for my water heater. We were very satisfied with American Home Shield. We normally call in our claims to them and recently, they sent out Grady's Air Conditioning and Heating Services. The technician was very professional and very personable. It was like he was trying to make sure everybody felt comfortable and he had his mask on as well the whole time. Our air conditioner would not shut off. The guy from Mister Freeze came out, diagnosed the problem, fix it and was gone in about 20 minutes. He was very polite and courteous, and seemed to be really knowledgeable of the problem. The only thing that was a little problem was that he didn't speak English really well. We had a little bit of trouble understanding him, but that wasn't his fault. I did the claim to American Home Shield online. The website was fine.
I filed a claim with Home Shield for the microwave, the dishwasher, and the stove. It was pretty easy. I did it online using the app and the whole process online is dummy-proof. I really like it. Then I got a call from the technician and he told me when he was coming. He did and we needed parts. The whole process was fast and easy. The dishwasher and the stove are functioning well. I've always liked American Home Shield's service. This is my second home that I've kept the service on. I'm three years into it after having my home. Submitting a claim is okay. It's easy if I can get online and submit the claim. Half the time, that's not an option, so I call it in. I contacted AHS because my water heater stopped heating the water to my home. AHS set me up with an appointment through Allstate Plumbing Co. ******* showed up at my home that next day and proceeded to check out out my water heater. It was amazing how quickly he found the problem and was able to reset the heater and get it working again. ******* was very patient and explained what he was doing so that I could understand how my water heater went off. My cousin in Texas got American Home Shield five years ago and later on, he told me about it and I got it. Then, I told all of my kids about it and they got it. I also told my sister about it and I got it for her. I tell everybody I know that they need American Home Shield just like having life insurance. I call in to submit a claim and it's easy to do. Our AC wasn't cooling. The fan on our outside unit wasn't going on. I let American Home Shield know about the issue through my mobile app. Then I was told the first time that it was supposed to be within 24 hours. I waited for 24 hours but nobody called me. I called back again and they gave me the name of the contractor. I called the contractor and they said that we were out of their area and he wouldn't be able to make it since it was too far.
