I purchased a home in August and American Home Shield was transferred over to me. So far, everything has been fine and I plan on keeping AHS. It's simple to do the claim and I haven't had any issues with anything. The AC stopped getting cold all of a sudden and I did a request. The contractor handled it as good as they could based on the situation with COVID and parts not being available. The AC is up and running again.
I recently had a claim for my HVAC system. I filed it online and the scheduling was done promptly after the claim was submitted. The contractor arrived promptly, had his PPE on, entered the home very professionally, immediately performed the work required, debriefed me after the work, and followed up with the appropriate documentation supporting the work.
Been using American Home Shield for around 6 or 7 years. A lady, whom I only met once at a get-together, recommended the company, saying it saved her when her Air Conditioning went out one hot 110 degree Texas Summer. AHS has saved me on several occasions as well.

My garbage disposal was giving me problems but the contractor who came out was great. He analyzed the problem. I knew that the garbage disposal was bad. I picked up a second one, and he replaced it for me. It has been working great since. American Home Shield has worked the way it’s supposed to work. I was very pleased.
From plumbing issues and electrical issues to appliance repairs, everything has been dealt with promptly and without friction, which has been such a relief when dealing with little surprises in a new home.
The moment I turned on the hot water in the bathtub, it caused it to be like a waterfall in the basement. It was a leaky faucet and when I would fill the tub up to take a bath, it would flood out the bottom of the tub. I talked to AHS and their reps were friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. The guy was coming to do a heating unit check to make sure everything was working properly 'cause we're getting ready to go into the cold. He went up into the unit, checked everything, made sure everything was okay and gave us a good report. We just need to change the filter on our part. I was also having a problem with my refrigerator and water was leaking from the ice machine. The contractor came in and fixed it. I haven't had any problems with it since.
