Honestly wouldn’t even give them a 1 ??! Received a bill from AmeriGas when they should be owing us money. We cancelled our service in January due to horrible customer service and gas prices with them were extremely high. In February we started with our new company. We had a negative balance with AmeriGas when we cancelled and they were to pick up their tank and give us a credit from gas that was left in the tank and waive the rental fee. Terrible service for communication. Sent email in April to not fill my tank until I did the pre-payment program. Got a response saying they received my request. Came to fill the tank before I got on the program. Now they will not honor my request because they say it is an automatic response from them. The local phone number still goes to the Philippines. Tried 10 different phone numbers and everything is in the Philippines. POOR SERVICE

1, The truck ran over my mail box and there was no response after i called. That happened the last time i called for gas. 2. I called to get my gas tank moved, three feet. So i am being charged $384.99. I have tried to talk with the representatives, who tell me that someone will get back to you with resolution but it never happens.

Terrible service! We have a rusted out 120lb above ground tank. Appointment was scheduled 6 weeks ago, no one showed up but we got text saying service was complete?? Called back to set up new appointment for today (7/26) and same thing…no show but text saying service was completed. We call back a third time, now being told they don’t have those tanks in stock? Why schedule appointments if that’s the case and never call saying job can’t be done. Without a doubt the WORST customer service I’ve ever had from any company

Amerigas is absolutely the worst business I have dealt with. The customer service is nonexistant. Do not use them. You cannot get deliveries. No one speaks english when you call. My entire experience with them has been negative. Now to get my tank picked up they have yet another fee to get it. Unbelievable.0 stars out of 5

Amerigas lies! and is totally impossible to deal with! As a new customer I was quoted a good price and told they would waive the safety check fee and dispatch fee - it was put as "our gift to you". Well they took their gift back. We own our tank and it has been in service for 13 years. When I got my invoice, both of those charges were on there totally a ridiculous $259.99. I called numerous times and emailed. When I would call I would get an overseas call center. When they called me, they sounded local. All promised to take ... read more

This has so far been the worst customer service interaction(s) I have incur with the exception of a couple of helpful people who gave me some insight on what steps to take. The previous owner passed away in 2021. I called the company to find out if the tank was owned or leased. I was told owned. When the new owners move in I find out the tank was leased. This company should be ashamed of themselves for their poor business practices. Since trying to setup service to ending my service I have run into nothing but trouble. They tell you that they will be there at a certain time to start up your service you arrange to be there and they don’t show up. Then I call customer service (which is laughable) ask why they have not shown up for the scheduled appointment to tell me that it’s scheduled for a following week. AmeriGas has extremely unfair business practices. Their billing cycles vary from 14-45 days. The company often "estimates" the usage. Then when they rectify the usage, the customer gets a "balloon" charge. The bills are difficult to discern between "Invoice Amount Due" and "Account Balance Due." Customer Service or Customer Advocacy Specialist is extremely poor. I was left on hold for 2 hours, tried 3 more times, put on hold and then gave up.
