I placed an order with amerigas for propane. They gave me a week window for delivery. I had requested that they call before going to deliver due to someone having to be home. Im a single mom who works alot. It's clearly stated in the text they sent me confirming my order that i will be called in advance. They delivered without calling me and locked out my tank so i cant use it. Terrible support. Cannot even tell you the current price per gallon of propane. Their website says click here to see a past invoice but it doesnt work. After 12 minutes on a call finally was told how many gallons we pre bought last year and how much we used. Another 5 minutes and we got the cost for next year.
They way over charged us for years and struggled to deliver on time had to close our business couple times and lost money due to their poor communication and lack of deliveries! Be very aware. Read the reviews.
25 years ago, when I first contacted Amerigas to have a propane tank put in to service my generator, I was very pleased with the ***** service. The nearest office to me was only 6 miles away in *********, and they sold me a good used small tank, filled it, and converted a gasoline generator over to a propane generator for me. Came out and checked it a couple of times. WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO YOU, AMERIGAS? Did you get bought out by China!?!? If I could give zero stars I would. Over a year ago they came to pick up my full gas tank because we weren't using it and I wasn't going to pay the yearly rental fee in this economy. They not only charged me to come get the tank but have yet to refund me the $500 from my tank being full. I call all the time and get the run around. I would not recommend anyone use this company.
Local AmeriGas does not have a local office to resolve bill discrepancies. They have no higher-level employees to contact locally or in the *** that can help resolve billing issues. Customer *********** is in *****, and they gave me the run a round for three weeks. Unable to resolve billing overcharges. Worst customer service I've ever dealt with. The local office technicians did excellent work, but I would never do business with this company again.
Id give the MINUS FIVE STARS if I could. We switched to Amerigas about six years ago bc the other company was always goofing up the bill. An acquaintance recently recommended we leave Amerigas bc they are Way too high priced. After realizing his advice seemed wise, we called Amerigas to cancel our account with them and was just informed they charge $199.99 to come get your tank and another $99.99 for cancelling your account. June 12, 2024 Dear To Whom It May *************** Number: On January 21, 2024, ********************** delivery worker accidentally overfilled my tank by 679 gallons. He wrote his name on the back of the ticket, so everyone knows who he was. I contacted AmeriGas, and they declined to come out and retrieve the excess gas. They assured me that they wont charge me for the accident and documented it in their system. Additionally, I discovered that AmeriGas was overcharging me. Do not use this company!Set up a 3 year committment on a tank rental that was already on property. First time we asked them to service account, they locked our tank because it needed updates. We complied with a $125 fireplace ball value, then they returned and said it still was not working properly, needed more work. We never used propane again, but continued to pay for rental agreement incase of emergency.in 2022 we requested they remove tank, called and placed numerous orders on line.
