Was very happy at the response of urgency when we arrived with Buddy. The staff are all very polite and caring about both the pet and owner. Gave constant updates of what was going on and happening with our pet. 100% satisfied with the care we received while our pet was there. Would highly recommend this place to anyone who needs emergency care! Thank you to everyone who took care of Buddy! 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

Jan, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a kind review about your experience at Animal Emergency Hospital. We're thrilled to hear that you were happy with the urgency and care provided to Buddy.
We brought in our budgie, they took time to explain what happened. Gave us time to say goodbye. Had to use extra money to have him put asleep. I think they shouldn't charge to put a animal asleep with the family already grieving the loss.
Business response:
Korie, thank you for choosing Animal Emergency Hospital for your budgie's care. We are sorry to hear about your loss and want to express our condolences. We appreciate your feedback regarding the cost of euthanasia and will take it into consideration. If you have any further concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at (616) 361-9911. Thank you again for choosing our hospital.
😽The wait was long because they were incredibly busy, and the waiting room is abysmal, but thankfully, they are building a new space next door. The sign-in process is laborious - way too long and involved. You have to repeat answers several times in the form. That said, the service is really good, and the communication throughout the night was good, too. The person on duty very patiently worked through a care plan with me. I rejected one as too expensive, and she went back to the drawing board to present another more palata... read more

my cat Oliver was very sick and I knew what I had to do and the vet techs and the vet were amazing and helped comfort me on the loss of my Olver
Business response:
Eileen we are so sorry for your loss of Oliver. Thank you for the kind words. We aim to provide comfort and care during difficult decisions such as these.
10/10 recommend this place. It was worth the four hours total in driving for my sweet girl; and I say this even though her diagnoses ended up being something they couldn’t treat as she needed to see a neurologist. They are so patient, comforting, informative, and all around amazing.
Monday our 9month old Silver Lab Airie was in pain with a previous injury to his front left leg. He would not stop wining and we couldn't relieve him. So we took him to AEH Byron Center. We were greeted at the door and given a couple options to consider. They brought him in the back and we were asked to fill out the registration using the mobile check-in. Normally this is done before you go to the Hospital, but we didn't get turned away. They really wanted to help. Airie was examined and given a good pain killer so ... read more

Brought my cat in late on a weeknight due to urinary blockage. This was by far the best experience I’ve ever had with an emergency vet visit. Sign in was easy on my phone from the parking lot. Was called in after maybe a five minute wait. They brought my cat back, verified the blockage, catheterized him, and told me I could wait at home for contact. My cat spent two nights there. He had proteins blocking his urinary tract which were cleared, tests were run, and he was treated. They had to observe 24-36 hrs to make sure the... read more
