Stay away from this company. Customer Service calling in wait time is very very long. You ask for a call back which never happens. Called for A/C repaired was approved to find my own company/technician. Had been approved for money to be paid back to me after repair, Summited repair paperwork, was told I did not receive approval for my own technician to come out. This is not true. American Residential warranty is a terrible ran company. They do not stand by their contracts they make with the customers. Their statement "we will get back with you in two days with next step" is a lie. They lack communication, they will nickel and dime you, never follows the contractors advises nor replies to contractor. I choose this company because we saw where they were the top home warranty company. THAT'S NOT TRUE!!! They will take your money but not provide with the service they promise. They were fine until you needed something replaced. My waterheater started leaking. Rusted out like what happens. They said they would send a plumber to look at it. They contracted the work out. The plumber looks at it and determined that we needed a new waterheater. Okay. Then the contracted company tries to reach American Resadental Warranty company to get the replacement approved. My only claim was turned down. Tried calling several times. Did not get a call back. You have to jump through many hoops to cancel your account. I got a call back from claims. I tried to explain my situation and the person accused me of yelling and talked over my conversation. Very poor customer service. I'm 76 and thought this was a good investment. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Very frustrating.

This company is garbage. When a repair is requested they waste your time by assigning it to contractors that do not service your brand, not cover your area or do not work with ARW. You eventually give up and get it repaired outside of the warranty. This is the worst warranty company I have ever dealt with.

I filed a claim for repair of a over the.range microwave in on May 4,2021 was not resolved until June 29,2021. It could not be fixed so they gave me a buy out for 126.00 dollars , but I could not reach them by phone had to hold on for hours at a time listening to recordings. Contractor waited for 1 month on parts. The Contractor waited 1 month on parts and could not get them. The positive reviews have to be fake. This company is the worst. Like other reviewers have said, they are quick to take your money but once you need a repair, it is a totally different story. The voice prompts take you through a series of questions, after pressing 1 here and 2 there it finally takes you to where you are supposed to hold for the next available agent. This is a two star review. American Residential Warranty has horrible customer service, and you frequently find yourself on hold for two hours or more waiting for someone to pick up. The times they sent people out to our house have been about half and half with regard to success. The first couple of times, service providers were calling me to collect the remainder of the amount that American Residential Warranty was supposed to pay.
