this company is unreliable and unprofessional. i could not get a resolution at all. i called for days and spoke to numerous people. i have still not received my refund and they keep telling me the fax number and the email address is wrong. each person i spoke to had a different fax number and a different email address. then they claimed they never received the invoice but another representative said that she received the email. Do NOT waste your time. I had a floor drain issue and called them. I was told there wasn't anyone in my area (Iowa) and that someone would call me with 24 hours. That never happened, so I called back in and was told to make my own appointment. I did, and when the service technician came out, I had to call this company again. I was passed along to several people while the tech. waited. Finally I was given an email address to send in the invoice that I had to pay. That was in the middle of January. IF i COULD GIVE THEM A NEGATIVE STAR i WOULD. DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY !!! I called ARW because there is a gas smell coming from the furnace, it is the original from 1985. I have to run the furnace too keep warm I live in Northern Nevada. I'm waiting for it to blow up at anytime. The Service Tech visited my home on January 17 and sent them the report that day and the secretary sent it the next day as well. I purchased this home warranty on February 07,2022. The next day I called to cancel. I have called 2 other times for cancellation status . They keep telling me not to worry that it will cancel “soon”. it’s now going on 2 weeks and they refuse to cancel or refund my money. If this is the way they handle a simple request at the start, I can’t imagine the roadblocks I would have to maneuver to get service fro American Residential Warranty. The agent said they were BBB accredited and they are not.

I sign a contract with this company I have the platinum coverage, my water heater went out about a week already, I call customer service and they tell me I need to wait 24 hours before they send some one to check the issue, it take 3 day to send some one to tell me it needs to be replaced but he needs authorization from ARW to approve it, 2 days later they send me a email saying they would cover $225.00 for the replacement of my water heater from the total cost of $1583.00 because my coverage is $300 , a year on any repairs.... read more

This has to be the worst warranty company ever!! Bottom line They are ********!!!! Take your $55.00 for service call and that's where it ends. I opened my acct June 2020. Jan 2021 my hot water heater needed replacement. Had a claim # and a company that was supposed to come out but they never showed. Asked for the $55.00 back since it was a "no show". Their the worst! They continuously take your money without the empathy of the customer. They will not keep open communication concerning your issues at all. They constantly take your money, and minimize any payouts due to you for services they cannot complete. For example my washer had issues. A waste of money and time, I called in a claim for heating,2/1/22 and paid the service fee, but because 30 days pasted since the last service call for the same Problem, I was told you only qualify for 174.00 of service because your heating has been serviced before, yes buy a technician you sent me. I'm paying monthly for service. I was told the first time 24-48 hours a service technician will be assigned.
