Very bad company! Stay away! Promises a lot, and pays nothing! When customer not happy with the company's service and stopped the monthly payments, their phone terror never ends! They climb into your pocket, but they themselves do not want to pay if something unforeseen has happened with household appliances.

This is the second complaint I'm filing. The first one covered the lack of service. ARW took my initial required payment when making a claim and then never followed up to provide the service. While trying to rectify it I was placed on hold for hours, hung up on, lied to and put through such an ordeal to where I filed a BBB report to get my money back. Requested and paid $55 for a service provider to come out on 8/2 and did not have one come out until 8/26. Then service provider sent invoice to ARW to approve authorization on a payment or something before they could order the part. Followed up with them every day and still no update on the situation and absolutely horrible customer service. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

-5 stars. Filed a claim in January 16, 2021 because my garage had no power. We paid the $55 and was told we would hear from the service provider. Never did. Spent more than a month calling getting put on hold for hours on end and finally got a provider name in March. They said they would come that Saturday, never showed. I would give minus stars. I have been with them for 3 years filed my first claim last month because my water heater stopped working. Called and filed a claim waited three days water still. It fixed they told me it will be fixed sometime next week they have yo-yo 7 days to do so. So I got it replaced out pocket paid $2200 and today my garage door doesn't work called filed a claim and I'm being told they have up to 7-10 days to fix it. I had this policy since May 2017. I used it twice once in 2018 for my garbage disposal that didn't need to be replaced but adjusted and in 2019 once for adding Freon to my central air unit. Well my central air wasn't working, placed a call to ARW on May 25, 2021 and had repairman scheduled for May 27, 2021. The repairman came out check my central air unit on May 27 and advise me he would contact me within the week. They are a terrible company. Very slow response. I have been trying to get my air conditioner fixed for 3 weeks. They have dropped communication between the company, the contractor, and the claim paying company. No one seems to know what the other is doing. They mislead you in telling you all your appliances are covered and then when its time to pay or get it fixed they don;t respond. I file a claim in June for my a.c. I was told, "we can't find a provider that would work with us in your area". I have to find my own service provider. I did and then I called American Residential Warranty on June 18, 2021, and was told to email them the invoice and they would reimburse me. On July 2nd, I called and spoke with someone who told me that the invoice had gone to claims and I would receive a payment in 30 days.
