As a first time cat parent, I always felt comfortable bringing Wobbles to Back Bay Vet Clinic. She was already 8 years old when I adopted her so we came for semi-annual checkups. Dr. Graham and all the nurses were gentle and patient. Dr. Graham in particular did a great job of explaining medical terms in a way that was easy to understand. We've been seeing Dr. Wheeler since 2021 and she and the team have provided the absolute best care for our cat Bonnie. Our cat has had her canines removed (due to teeth resorption) and two chain mastectomies this year, and everyone from the receptionists, to the vet techs and the off-hour support team has gone above and beyond with ensuring she was well taken care of. I came here as a first-time cat owner after scheduling an appointment over the phone and everyone was super friendly, from the woman at the front desk, to Allie the vet tech and Dr. Graham. We showed up a bit early for our 8am appointment, but we were taken to our room right away. Dr. Graham did a great job with handling Wobbles, and with explaining different medical terms in a way that was easy to understand (after first asking if I was a medical professional). We see dr wheeler and are very pleased with puffins care since 2020/2021. He had a teeth cleaning and does regular visits for care now. They have great weekend available times and are very responsive via email / text. I would recommend this spot to anyone!
I have two dogs who I've taken here since they were puppies. The staff and vets have always been extremely friendly and communicative with us. While I was on a road trip, my dog got an ear infection and the out-of-state vet who we saw gave us medicine we had to put in his ears daily and it really scared and upset him. Back Bay Vet a year later, when my dog got an ear infection again, however, saw that he's fussy about his ears and gave him the medicine in the clinic that lasts 10 days and means I don't have to corner him ... read more
My family found Back Bay Veterinary Clinic toward the end of our dogs life, but we are incredibly grateful we did. In our 15 years with our pup, we have never experienced such compassionate, professional, considerate, individualized, and wonderful care for our dog. I have a female standard poodle. Since she was a puppy, we have been visiting Back Bay Vet for her vet care. Over the past 2.5 years, their care has been excellent. The veterinarians and ancillary staff have all been friendly and competent. Our main vet is Dr. Katharine Wheeler, who I highly recommend. Back bay vet takes wonderful care of my puppy. They are very accommodating despite being very busy, and they always have the most friendly staff. All of the veterinarians we have seen have always been very patient with my many questions as a new dog mom, and they have always made me feel very confident in their care.
As my good friend Dick C. is fond of saying, when it comes to medical care, the best is none too good. I've been bringing my dogs to BBV for over 20 years for this very reason.
