Get directionsEverything went well until the closing. The closing was a bit of a circus and it wasn't Better's best moment. Having a bad customer experience at the closing table is probably the worst time.
Great experience overall, and far cheaper than other lenders I shopped. Would definitely refi with them again.
I appreciate we now have a lower interest mortgage and the fees and cost for this was lower. You shift us to several people and it can be confusing as to who is point at one time. Once the process starts your system over emailed us, literally sending 10-12 emails inside a minute at one point. It was maddening. There are a lot of inefficiencies in your system which should be addressed some of which caused delay in our closing. Fast easy service through the website but great personable service via phone and email.
This was a refinance for me and given what I went through to get my original mortgage I was shocked at what a positive experience this was with Better.com. Everyone I dealt with whether through email or on the phone was incredibly friendly, personable and helpful. I don't consider myself technologically savvy and yet I found working with their portal to be very user friendly and the way I was asked to complete the needed tasks, which of course there are many, didn't seem overwhelming. Not trustworthy. Half of the time , website doesn't show rates . It gave them 1 full week to fix that bug before withdrawing my application

The entire process was disjointed, difficult and frustrating. We've had multiple mortgages and this was the worst experience by far. The documentation requested was much more than other companies, the contact kept switching though out process but details on our refi weren't shared with next person so we had to keep re explaining. And our numbers kept changing and we couldn't get answer to explain and "experts" kept not relaying info to next one in process. We used Better over our normal broker and that was a mistake.
