We chose Big Bully despite being significantly more expensive than others because they stated their product and service was better. Neither is true. We installed turf at the end of January 2026. We were told they would prepare the ground with supposedly several different materials and spray for weeds, however, we had weeds growing immediately and throughout the entire area. I had a horrible experience And never even got a quote. I had an appointment at 10 AM, But at 9:45 AM I received a text from Lucas saying that He was running a " Little behind" And he would call me as soon as his current appointment was finished. Buyer beware! This was my second project completed by Bully. My front yard was completed years ago and is beautiful. The backyard was completed last month. It has not been a good experience. Be warned about the following: Communication is sparse and you will have to pursue answers once they have your money. Made appointment at SD fair for rep to come out to our house to remodel our back yard. He came At appointed time like a bat out of hell. Talked real fast. After we told him what we wanted he took some measurements. He said he would be back in his office by 4 PM. And send pictures and a quote. Verified my email. It has been over 36 hours and never received any email or follow up call.

I have had the worst experience of the numerous contractors I have hired to do work at my house. It seems they low-ball their bid to do your job, pressure you to sign the contract the first time you meet with them and then ask for $3000 more once the project is started. When I had questions, I either didn't get a return call or 'that is the way they do it'. I was told by a Big Bully Turf representative to spray the weeds with weed killer, I now have large areas of brown dead weeds throughout my turf. So much for my yard being green in the summer and green all year round as their commercial states. I would like to know what their 25 year warranty covers, it doesn't cover melting or weeds, so what exactly does it cover???

While the actual turf product looks and feels nice, I am incredibly disappointed with the dishonesty and poor execution from both the salesperson and the Project Manager. Prospective customers should be aware of several major discrepancies between what we were promised and what was actually delivered: 1. False Warranty Claims: We were promised a 5-year weed-free warranty due to their "superior prep work" and a 25-year transferable warranty. We had Big Bully come out and install a patio, retaining wall and irrigation. Everything was perfect until we had an issue with the irrigation and we don't know where it is coming from. We reached out to their customer service who was very rude and not helpful in the slightest. They wanted pictures and videos before they would send someone out.
