We installed our turf in April of 2025, specifically for the reason that it is " dog and kid friendly." We have been having nails pop up from the turf installation.I called and asked the company about this and they said it's very unusual, our fault that our dogs must have pulled them up and quoted me $150.00 to come out and inspect it, then they'll be back to fix it if needed. We chose Big Bully Turf for the excellent product. But the installation and service was very poor. The installers caused several leaks in our sprinkler system, breaking the lines while removing our grass, pounding the nails through the pipes, and not capping off lines that were no longer used. When they came back to repair the lines, we found they had not put down weed barrier during installation. They put a thin weed barrier down and this did not prevent weed from coming through the turf. Weed barrier was placed in all areas of turf, but any additional or double layer of weed barrier was not paid for and is not part of our standard practice. If I could give them a zero I would. The turf was installed August of 2023. The workers did not speak English and I don't speak Spanish. Now there is weeds growing up through the turf. I had pavers put in to make a walkway and weeds are growing around the pavers as they didn't put the pavers in until after I called the foreman and then they cut into the turf that was already layed to place the pavers. We had turf and pavers installed. We are senior citizens who can't pull weeds anymore. The sales person told they only use employees and not day laborers. It sounded good when he told us we would not have a problem with weeds anymore, because they would put in a weed barrier. They just put a type of sand underneath. Now we continually have a problem with weeds, and nobody returns our calls.

I had 3 estimates for about 1,150sf of 1-1/2 turf to be installed. There estimate was $19,000.00 more than 2-1/2 times the next lower bid of $7,200.00. I call that a Rip Off outfit in my book.

Very poor communication. I asked a simple question and it took two weeks to answer. He said he would call me back every couple days, but never did. I didn't get an answer until I went through the management.

Not sure who it was they sent over but the guy's attitude and arrogance cost them a sale and their reputation. Rather than measuring the backyard and front yard he simply threw out numbers. He did not give me the same quote I was originally told. In fact, he laughed when I told him the original quote and asked who gave that to me. He attempted a high pressure tactic for the 37% discount that was also offered, telling me he'll give it to me but only if I sign immediately. The guy did not seem reputable in the least. Went through about 3 different project "managers" during our installation because this company hires out help. They have zero quality control since they hire anyone who claims to be a contractor. We were left with a yard that no longer drains since they failed to relocate our existing drains to the lowest point in the yard they created. We now live with a pond anytime it rains.
