I really like the pot roast melt with onion rings. Was greeted with a warm welcome and had great service. Overall the place was clean and even took a Chocolate cream pie home that was delicious.

My friends and I visited this location on Sunday afternoon. Our server Maria was VERY attentive with all of our needs... she even made jokes! Food was good but service was extremely wonderful. I do want to point something out; we saw when a male server was grabbing her and trying to pull her to the back aggressively. You need to investigate! My experience at the Black Bear Diner location in Canyon Country was truly amazing!! The food was exceptionally good and fresh. I was also pleasantly surprised by the staff. They were all extremely welcoming, which was such a pleasant surprise after my experiences at the Valencia location. So nice to experience sincerely nice staff. Looking forward to my next visit!

I took my two grandsons to the Black Bear diner yesterday afternoon. We had a very good meal there. The food was excellent. Our server couldn't have been better. The restaurant is pleasant and it's a nice place to have a meal. I recommend this restaurant for good food, good service and a nice environment to eat in.

So, we have eaten at this Black Bear location 8-10 times now. When they first opened they had the normal new restaurant issues that are to be expected. The food has been very good on all visits and the service has been excellent! Super friendly people working at this location. I really dont understand people that say the food and service are great and leave less than a 5 star review. (Wannabe food critics).
