In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. We were excited to go in and support a new business , but unfortunately the service was below par. We had a server named Marci and you would think she would be a bit more cordial. That wasn't the case. We hope to return and have a more pleasant experience.

The food tastes great, the servers are friendly and attentive, the menu has something for everybody, the prices are reasonable, and it's a clean, pleasant environment. It checks all my boxes for a good place to eat. I'll be back soon!
The new Black Bear diner is cute and very nostalgic!! Food was good and the service was excellent. Chandra went out of her way to make us feel welcome and taken care of! Also make my mom feel special on her birthday!!!
We used to come to Coco's at least twice a week. Happy to have somewhere to go again in town! We couldn't find a waiter but Chanie went out of her was to get us drinks and take our order. The food didn't come out perfect once our server brought it but again Chanie helped to make it right. Whatever your paying her isn't enough. The only reason we are giving 5 stars is because of her ability to make our not so great experience better. We'll try it out again
I found the food fresh and I was surprised given the first day of opening. The staff was so eager to please and very friendly. Music choice was quite nice. Up tempo. We will be back.
Went this morning on opening day and couldn't have had a better experience. Food was delicious and our server Chandra was the best! Nice to see customer service upheld to such great standards. Will definitely be going back!!!
