I've gone to the Black Bear in Valencia and was disappointed (greatly) in the service. I skipped Black Bear for a long time. But my wife said she wanted to try them again so we went to their newer location. I was thoroughly impressed with the service and was reminded about the good, filling food. Kevin was the only waiter handling the restaurant and was constantly moving though we never felt ignored. I highly recommend this location over the Valencia location but especially if Kevin is working.

I had the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and coleslaw. The chicken was nice and crispy with good flavor, I put the mama bear sauce. Pick up was fast and easy. The jukebox is really neat.

I really like the pot roast melt with onion rings. Was greeted with a warm welcome and had great service. Overall the place was clean and even took a Chocolate cream pie home that was delicious.

My experience at the Black Bear Diner location in Canyon Country was truly amazing!! The food was exceptionally good and fresh. I was also pleasantly surprised by the staff. They were all extremely welcoming, which was such a pleasant surprise after my experiences at the Valencia location. So nice to experience sincerely nice staff. Looking forward to my next visit!

I took my two grandsons to the Black Bear diner yesterday afternoon. We had a very good meal there. The food was excellent. Our server couldn't have been better. The restaurant is pleasant and it's a nice place to have a meal. I recommend this restaurant for good food, good service and a nice environment to eat in.
