This was my first time in a Black Bear Dinner, our waitress Misty took her time to talk to me about the menu and through all her recommendations i decided on the slow cooked pot roast with mashed potatoes, and it was delicious! I don't know if I'm not a fan of their coleslaw or if there was something off about it, I told Misty and she got me some French Fries instead. I really liked the music selection, and the decor is cute. Very clean!!!! Will be back for breakfast one day for sure : D
Thank you, Black Bear Elk Grove!! The food was great, however, the Host and wait staff were Awesome!! Can’t recall a friendlier restaurant to eat at. Kudos, for knowing how to earn repeat customers!!!

I have been to many Black Bear Diners, this is another great location. And it's close to home, perfect!
Great food and the staff at Black bear in E G never fail to give great service. Plan to make this one my FAVORITE.

Can't wait to go back! Considering how many customers were there, everything was timely. We were seated in under 30 minutes (an impossible feat anywhere in Elk Grove on the weekend), we almost immediately received drinks and had our orders taken. When the eggs were cooked incorrectly, our server (Ian) was good humored and brought a small plate to remove the eggs (allowing my parents to still eat with the rest of us while new eggs were prepared).
