Food was excellent. My Lovely Bride said the salad was crisp and cold, as she likes it. Server was attentive to our group of 5 plus a high-chair. The main drawback was the amount of time needed for prep. Food wasn't steaming when brought to the table, and it took like 3 trips to get all our meals on the table. Food tasted great! The biscuits are BIG. I got the big portion chicken fried steak! The hash browns I got were a little burnt but manageable! My only true complaint is more nit picky I may want to get the same thing with gravy on the side. I went in the morning before dawn more like first light and it was quiet. The server was nice and accommodating she did great! Definitely recommend going there! My girlfriends Reuben was amazing!

We went two days in a row. On Sunday, Christmas Eve, we got the pancake meal and everything was great! We decided to take our parents on Christmas Day for the advertised Christmas Dinner. We were very disappointed. It was quite expensive ($24) but it was supposed to be turkey or prime rib with all the trimmings. The food is really not that good and the lady manager needs to kick rocks and find a different career. She is not fit for the food industry. I don't know how she became a manager. JS Only thing that is good is the bread pudding Other then that I am not wasting my money there. If you just go to apple map and type in brunch it will show you other brunch spots that blows this crap out of the water. Eggtastic cafe is close or brunch 360‍ definitely rethink before going there.

My husband said he'd give this place no stars based off the food he ordered, but I think it deserves at least 2.5 from my perspective. The service and staff were genuinely great; friendly, attentive, and on top of things, but the food just didn't measure up. It wasn't bad by any means, just unremarkable, especially considering how many solid breakfast spots there are nearby. we've eaten at this Black Bear Diner before with good experiences. This one, September 2025, was a big disappointment. We ordered to go at the reception desk including a baked potato with butter and sour cream. The butter and sour cream were left out of the order. We ordered a banana cream pie which was mostly crust and whipped cream with a little filling. the apple cobbler we ordered was only about half cooked when we got home. The pot roast was good as was the corn on the cob. I'm not sure if we'll be back.

I've been to Black Bear Diners from California to Texas. The eggs looked cooked on top ( over medium ) but below them they was VERY light and liquidy as in not cooked properly. The toast was under cooked and over buttered with green in it ( I'm assuming they used the same knife to cut avocados ). The fresh Orange Juice is good. For a $60 breakfast meal ( 3 people ) This Black Bear Diner is not trained properly in food serving. The kitchen does not seem to have a good handle on cooking. The chicken fried steak was disgusting! It is exactly the same as 80's junior high chicken fried steak, that was served by a lady with a net on her head. Gross! I typically like the food there, but that was nasty!
