Stopped in for a quick breakfast bite before flying. The area was decorated with bears all over and very nicely done. Greeted by the host and waitress with smiles. They took my order and it was pretty seamless. Didn't take long to get to my booth. I had the eggs Benedict. It was ok. Normally I go to Black Bear in Layton and I have never had any issues, but while getting my car service in Woods Cross I thought I would grab some breakfast while waiting. The waitress was nice, but she could have offered me some new hashbrowns after I explained the ones on my plate tasted like it was cooked in old grease. I only took a few bites because I didn't want to take any chances to possibly get sick or something. I really don't like to complain, but thought it was helpful to let someone know. My daughter and I went into eat dinner when the dinner was not busy at all. Employees were literally sitting at the bar. We had to wait several minutes before we got sat down for a table. Then we never had anyone return to give us water or take our order. We left after waiting several minutes and after being blatantly ignored and passed several times. We were not even acknowledged. We were quite disappointed in our experience tonight. We usually love Black Bear Diner, but we waited for our food forever, the server was absentee during most of the meal, and he spaced getting the pancakes I ordered until we were pretty much done with our food. I was hoping for a side of pancakes (Caution! This isn't a thing there...) and it cost me $9.00! When we asked to speak with the manager about the situation, he/she didn't even come out to speak with us At all. We won't be back to this location.

We were quite disappointed in our experience tonight. We usually love Black Bear Diner, but we waited for our food forever, the server was absentee during most of the meal, and he spaced getting the pancakes I ordered until we were pretty much done with our food. I was hoping for a side of pancakes (Caution! This isn't a thing there...) and it cost me $9.00! When we asked to speak with the manager about the situation, he/she didn't even come out to speak with us At all. We won't be back to this location.
