We ate here on a Friday night in February 2021. The food was everything I've come to expect from BBD: Not great, but definitely good. The atmosphere was fine, not too noisy. Everything is socially distanced, and it wasn't too busy. I mean, I didn't THINK it was too busy. We were seated at around 5 PM, and it took about 15 minutes for anyone to come take our order, after bringing drinks, which weren't too slow. But we didn't get our food until 6:10 PM. This diner is the best for breakfast, if you dine in. DO NOT UBER EATS this place. The portions a 1/3 less when you have your meal delivered. It's cold. The ham steak is 1/4 of what you would get inside the diner. We have tried Uber Eats twice now at Black Bear. Won't be doing it again. So disappointed!!,

If I I could give a negative star...I would. We arrived and they sat us at a table by the front door. We asked if we could have a booth and not by the door, and the place was empty. The girl said they would need to clean a booth off because all the tables were dirty. She then seated us next to the take out door. When we sat down, there was grape jelly under the table which got my outfit all dirty. No napkins on th e table so I went to find something to wash my outfit off. This location always sends out great and tasty food, but it's cold a lot of the time. 3/4 of the servers here seem to move at a glacial pace all the time. They literally stand around with the other 1/4 run around frantic and shaking. Forget about getting seated in a timely manner, getting your drink refilled, and paying in a timely manner. Breakfast here will eat up more of your time than any other place in town, which is so different from the usually excellent black Bear experience. Like I said though the food is good an... read more

The cooks were yelling at the waitresses in Spanish. The waitresses were going as fast as they could but the cooks kept ringing the bell and yelling. one of the waitresses was on the verge of tears. She said "the cooks treat us so bad." A customer heard and went back and told the cooks to treat them better, and help up front instead of obnoxiously ringing the bell and yelling. We will never go back to this BBD as long as those cooks are there.
