We knew we needed to replace our furnace (just over 20 yrs old) but was hoping to make it through one more winter. Unfortunately, we began having problems with it and called the company that had been cleaning it for the past few years. They came out, "tuned" it up and told us that it might last this winter or not. The tech also told us there was a pipe clogged but wouldn't clean it unless we paid him another $150 (over the $160 we paid for the tune up). Ben, the owner came out within 12 hours, after I called in a panic the evening before. Ben knew I had to work, and he came by at 6:00 am in the morning. He was cordial, professional, and didn't try to sell me a new furnace. He informed me that the furnace was good, but it was the installation that wasn't so good. I'd I purchased a so called "high efficiency" furnace 6 years ago from another company. He ordered the part, and within 2 days the part came in and they were out to install. Like clockwork, crew showed up when scheduled, performed work as promised in a timely professional manor. Ben has been accessible when any communication was necessary. I am a general contractor by trade and will hang on to Black Lions number as the first HVAC contractor to call when those needs arise.

Ben exemplifies over the top old-fashioned service excellence! Saturday morning, furnace not working, called Ben. Within 10 minutes, he was at our house! Within 5 minutes of arriving, he had diagnosed the problem, replaced the ignitor and we had our heat restored. All at an extremely reasonable service call fee with NO "emergency" fee added. Highly recommend you call Black Lion - you will be as impressed.
We purchased an Agies List Big Deal to have our furnace cleaned and inspected. Black Lion performed this service in a timely and professional manner then explanined that we'd be needing a new furnace within the next few years due to it's beginning to rust out (it's 16 years old). He further explained that because of the current warranty still in effect, that we'd get substantial refund if the service were to be done now and he'd deduct the payment for the Big Deal as well.
