He was here on time and very personable. He explained just what he was doing and showed me how to change the filters.
Black Lion's initial inspection was hastily scheduled. He was able to accommodate a visit the next day. (We are located in Kent--10 miles south of Seattle--and Black Lion is located in Everett, 30+ miles north of Seattle.) His schedules and mine matched for that day. It took a couple of calls but the man eventually showed up, ontime, serviced the gas furnace (not sure what all this includes) he reported the furnace was in good condition and should last for some more years.
I had excellent service from Ben and his crew. They were quite knowledgeable, timely and great to work with. I thought I smelled gas a week or so later and they immediately came out to check for a leak. They didn't find any but did a thorough inspection of my entire gas heating and air condition system as well as the tankless hot water system. They didn't find a leak but I also don't smell gas anymore!
We have two forced air heater units in our home, one servicing the ground floor and one the second story.The ground floor unit was checked by Ben and found to be working fine. The upstairs unit was not working and needed to be replaced. A crew of two came out the following Monday, replaced the unit anddisposed of the old one. After reading Angie'sList reviews, I purchased the special $69 coupon to have my furnace cleaned during the busy time for this kind of work. Our water heater died over the weekend. After being charged $160 for one of those "Out Today" HVAC companies to confirm it was broken, they quoted an astronomical price to replace it. Being stressed to the max and already worried about the cost, we consulted Angie's List and found Black Lion offering a reasonable rate for a water heater install.
