It was pretty speedy and the man who did the work was very pleasant and kept the area around the furnaceclean. He also suggested that I move some of the things I had stored around the furnace because it was blocking the airflow, which no other firnace company had mentioned. The only thing that kept it from being a perfect experience was that he didn't have the filter for my furnace with him and needed to go buy one. Our propane furnace failed Tues. evening after business hours. I searched Angie's List that evening for a business to repair the furnace, hopefully the next day. I was impressed with the Black Lion reviews so I called them first thing Wed. morning and spoke with Ben. He said he would be out btw. 2 & 2:30 that day. After alerting me that he was running a little late he arrived and quickly determined that the flame sensor and high limit sensor needed replacing. Went well, arrived on time, knowledgeable, and professional. Didn't mind me watching over his shoulder as he disassembled the furnace. The gas furnance is pretty forign to me so I asked a lot of questions too. He was very patient and informative. He looked at it all andgave it a clean bill of health. We talked new Thermostat and when it comes time I will definitely give them a call for a new one.

The experience was great! The guy whoshowed up was very nice (like most of the people we contract with from Angie'slist). He came on time, liked dogs (we have two that bark at strangers)and was very professional, but really he was just a very nice and HONEST guy.I would go with Black Lion because the customer service was excellent.Anyway, he did what he was suppose to do, but what made the visitexcellent was he explained what he was doing, why he was doing it, and thengave honest answers to my questions (I've done my researc... read more

We purchased the Angie's Deal for an annual furnace tune-up ($69) with Black Lion Heating A/C. Scheduling was easy and the customer service was very friendly. Our appointment was completed within a week of our initial contact. Our service call was very thorough and the technician (I forgot his name!) was very professional. He gave us a maintenance checklist of what was included in our tune up for our specific gas furnace. Ben the owner did the service appt. He prompted and very professional. He did a great job explaining what he was doing during the service appt. I plan to use him again next year.

Tech arrived on time and completed the check of the furnace. Also offered to come back to replace the filter if needed in a couple of months to do it at no charge as it was okay and didn't need to be replaced at the time of this service.
