Very well. The only problem was that it took them a long time to send me the service invoice for my records.
Provided honest and accurate information that was not based on just getting more work.
The tech arrived on time, checked the furnace and made minor repairs, then fixed the gas fireplace for no extra charge. Answered all questions. Very professional, high quality service.
Our furnace broke down in the afternoon of Dec 23. I looked for recommendations in Angie'sList and decided to call Black Lion.Ben was super responsive. He had missed my call but called me back within a couple of minutes and set up an appointment. He came out on Dec 24 and conducted an evaluation of the furnace with me standing right by him. We picked Black Lion because of the quality reviews here and their price, much lower than three other estimates. And sure enough: the reviews were spot on. They were friendly and clear on the phone, arrived on time, and did excellent work quickly in professionally. The worker checked the furnace also for no charge, suggesting options without pressure, and even suggested that we await the prospect of post-Christmas specials. All in all, a fine choice!

Overall I was very satisfied with the service performed by Black Lion H & AC. I contacted Ben (owner) of Black Lion after seeing separate deals on Angie's List for a new furnace & a new 50 gallon water heater. Both of those items in my house were needing replacement and I had decided to bite the bullet and find a good company with a good deal for those two items. My furnace reached a point where it was no longer worth being repaired right at a time that I couldn?t afford a problem like replacing a furnace, and didn?t have time to deal with it either. The reality is this can be an expensive proposition, and I wanted a company that would help answer my questions from initial costs to long-term energy costs, but would also help drive the process from beginning to end.
