Took vacation and planned whole day around this project. Even after shelling out $825 as an advance payment "so they can schedule me" they did not show up and seem not to care in the least
No angies list discount given even after mentioning that I was a memeber.
Electrician showed up on time but wasn't prepared to do the work and pushed me out to do a bid for someone "they do a lot of work with."
Would not recommend this company, very poor customer service. Initially was very happy that Brian came out quickly and troubleshooted the problem. He seemed professional and was prompt. I had a chain of lights/plugs go out after changing a few outlets. He immediately found the problem outlet and tightened the screws and left a little more of a gap at the wire connections of one of the outlets. called and left my information to schedule an appointment date and time. never received a return call from these people.
Hired Black Lion to come out and service the HVAC unit. Coincidentally, when they came to service, there was a fan motor that broke. it was fortunate that the motor was in stock on the truck. We were also informed that the auto-shut-off water pump had failed, so that too had to be replaced. We agreed. We signed up for the 12 month servicing agreement. They were terrible. Both of the folks I contacted told me that they couldn't fix the problem. That they needed to replace the unit I had. And that was going to cost tens of thousands of dollars. I was advised by a local contractor to contact another company. They figured out it was just the thermostat downstairs was turned off. All we had to do was turn the thermostat on and the furnace came on. So these contractors just came and gave me a story about having to replace the furnace when all they had to do was just turn it on.... read more

Mark came out and said the blower motor was leaking oil and needed replacement. But if the motor's going, then the heat exchangers aren't far behind. You can replace both, but that'll be more than a new furnace. I'll work up the estimate. ... He spent another 40 mins. on the furnace and charged $136 for the call. We called another guy. He said the blower motor needs replacing, but the heat exchangers are fine and should be good for many more years. He also said the furnace wasn't cleaned or the gas calibrated. Pretty bad to be honest. They came in and poked around in there. Told me there was some stuff wrong and then told me they would get back with me on parts availability and a quote and have been radio silent ever since. They replaced the filter but there was no actual work completed and I didn't even get the quote I was promised.
