Contacted Angie's list with issue who credit our bill and recon tact service providers. Called and have air condition tune now scheduled for mid July...not optimal. Hopeful they show up and do the job in July, but need to wait to see if they do.
They missed their 2 hour window for their appointment. When we called they acted like it wasn't scheduled correctly somehow. They then sent a guy to come within an hour of calling which was ok. But when he arrived he didn't even apologize for their error. I waited around for over 3 hours in our house when I had things to do on my day off. An apology would have been nice. Unfortunately, the visit didn't go as smooth as I would have liked. Firstly, he was suppose to come between 2:30 to 4 but came around 4:30.Second, he was under the impression that he was here for Furnace but I scheduled for AC service. He decided to check both so that wasnice of him. He recommended changing furnace igniter as it may burn outsoon and alsorecommended preventative maintenance on A/C.Provided me quotes for both. I bought a deal off Angie's List for a tune up. Black Lion emailed me through Angie's list and we set up an appointment for 04/20/2015 and they said they would come between 1-3PM. I only get to use 5 days off per year of work. I used up 1 of those days so I could be home for the service. Well I was sitting at home all day and finally around 3:45, I give them a call to see what time they would have a service member come out. When they looked at my installation they said it would cost $2450 plus tax without an explanation of why it was so much more than what the Deal covered, soI requested a refund.
It went okay. I wasn’t impressed. On the course of checking it out, he noticed that a wire had been heat burned through, which is very simple thing to fix and put in a new diesel wire. The fellow didn’t have any wire with him in advance. I had to schedule another appointment and take another day off from work. I had him come out and put what amount of wire needed. They are people that install and service furnaces. I just couldn’t believe that they don’t carry stock items like wire in their van. Next time, if I’ll have somebo... read more
I wish that I had remembered to ask them to put a drain pan underneath the new water heater. I think they should have suggested that. One of our neighbors with the same floor plan as ours had their hot water heater fail and tip just a bit, but it tipped in the direction of the house and ruined a lot of hardwood flooring. Another neighbor had a similar thing happened, so I wanted to have the drain pan to help alleviate water damage to our hardwoods and have the overflow go out the garage in the eventthere was a water heater f... read more
