I have had extended warranty repairs done and paid to them in the past, so I am not a new client. Back when BMW of NA was running an alternative transportation program, I spoke to them and advised me to call the local dealership. As a result of my last review I was contacted by Field's BMW. I was told by Gary Gordon, their Service Manager, that they were incredibly sorry that there wasn't better communication throughout the process, and that they would like for me to come back in so that they could put gas in my tank because of the multiple visits I had to make over what should have been a single, quick, in-n-out type of visit. My 2014 550i Engine light came on took it to the dealerships in Lakeland because it is closer to my home. I knew I was in trouble when the rep Tina said oh it's a 550 it's going to take a while to get done. I stated ok I will get something to eat. I had to walk to the restaurant no shuttle, I also own a Lexus and they would never let me walk anywhere. I took my 2014 X5 in for a normal service at 9 am one morning. It was promised back the same day. Service tech called and said it would not be ready until the next day due to being hooked up to a computer. Late the next afternoon i was finally told it was ready. When i arrived an hour later it was not ready--they said it was being washed. Then when i obtained paperwork I found they had done work that was not discussed or authorized by me. I bought a BMW part from a BMW dealership in another state. I had it for around 2 months before it randomly stopped working so I brought it into the Lakeland dealership with a copy of the recite, What I thought was a quick exchange took over 5 hours during a two day period. They told me that my car had new lights in it and the warranty covered the cost. Bought a $50,000 used car. All was great, till the drive home (I live 200 miles away) when I noticed a vibration in the steering wheel. We received exceptional customer service from PJ Nunez, our Client Advisor. From the start, when he returned by information request after regular business hours, to delivery, PJ was the consummate professional. The used car manager could take a lesson from PJ. The overall rating would have been 5 stars if not for the low ball tactics experienced during the trade-in.
