"The service department at Open Road BMW is horrible and..." The service department at Open Road BMW is horrible and has been for many years. I’ve only gone to them when I’ve had to (warranty) and won’t even do that going forward (I’ll drive a lot further). The hold message talks about 5 star service and exceeding expectations, but they are the exact opposite. They over promise, under deliver, and provide incredibly poor service. "This dealership has problems! These other reviews are fake" These people are abrasive and not customer focused. The service department receptionists are nice as can be but the service managers bring "tough guy" attitudes. Bring your business to other BMW dealerships and save yourself the trouble.
"I went to Open Road BMW in Edison intent to purchase my..." I went to Open Road BMW in Edison intent to purchase my first BMW - a 2017 X5. Once there, I was told to drive 3 miles south, make a U-turn to Mini Cooper Dealer where all CPO BMW were kept. Once there , salesman drove me to another lot 1/2 mile away - so inconvenient and time consuming. The day, I picked up my car, had to wait 1 hr despite having a 12:30 pm to sign contract and financial papers . No car mats. Once requested, I had to put the car mats given MYSELF.... read more

"Service shop " My 2012 BMW X5 went to open road BMW of Edison for a small coolant leak Nov 7, 2019. IT IS STILL IN THEIR SHOP, 5 MONTHS AND COUNTING. After many calls to the service dept no clear answers are given. At this point i have made 4 payments on a vehicle i haven't seen. "a dealership does not care at all" I leased a new x5 from openroad bmw NJ on 2/13, signed all the paperworks and paid for everything. My temporary license plate already expired on the 18th. For the last two weeks, I have been calling them more than 20 times, trying to find out what is going on, the sale guys left the company, and the people at the financial department who sent me the paperwork, and the two sales managers never picked up the phone and never replied my voicemail. "Waste of my time" I was shopping around for a new x5, got an offer over the phone, but when I got there they gave me a totally different price, which was significantly higher then the original offer... major waste of my time
"Dealership refuses to complete the job!!!" My wife and I leased a new vehicle from a dealership on 10/30. We signed all paperwork and paid for it. Tomorrow will be the date when temporary license plate expires. To this day we have not received a permanent license plate. When we went to DMV we were told that following vehicle was not even registered in the first place. "HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE" I had to bring my car for service, the first issue is I couldn't get through on the phone. I called and called and neither service or sales picked up. OK so after i received a call back from the service adviser i told him to go ahead and start the work. They kept my car over the weekend so I had called back to see if I could have a loaner.
