Where do I begin? My entire experience at The Clarkson was a nightmare. If you want to live in a glorified dorm, this is your place. The walls here are insanely thin and noise from my inconsiderate neighbors affected my sleep daily. Maintenance doesn't fix things correctly the first time, so you'll keep putting maintenance requests in until you give up and just live with the problem until you move out. Do not rent from their apartments. Moved to Tennyson 44 from nyc in December 2019. I've rented my adult entire life prior to living there, and this experience has been the worst. First, the property was poorly maintained during Covid. Trash rooms overflowed regularly and the common areas aren't disinfected regularly. Second, our unit had no hot water for 2 weeks. Do not rent from these people. They are literal slumlords who make their money fraudulently by scamming unsuspecting renters. They are rude, and degrading and extremely unprofessional. Anyone who gave them a good rating is lying. They will try to pull "fine print" scams and steal money from you when you want to move out. They will tell you that you need to keep paying them after your lease is over 2 years later and that you are contracted into continuing the lease even when you tell them many times you are moving out and fo... read more
Horrible! I would give negative stars if I could! Run away as fast as you can! Their customer service is AWFUL and they are greedy scammers. They refused to refund my money on a mistake that THEY made, and have been a nightmare to work with. They cost me hundreds, don't even think about leasing with them!

Nate, I am sorry to hear about your experience while the work was be performed. I agree, the electrical upgrade was disruptive and working in occupied apartments is never ideal. Unfortunately, this upgrade was required after the building sold. The lead based paint addendum is required by law for all buildings built before 1978. We have no reason to believe the property contains lead based paint other than it being built over 100 years ago. DO NOT MOVE TO BUERGER BROTHER LOFTS! November 2019: Moved into 3G AC did not work Washer/Dryer did not work Had repair people in house almost every day for the first two weeks. Still waiting on my air conditioning to be fixed 2 weeks after making a maintenance request with no call backs from anyone at boutique. Maybe this way someone will actually contact me. Emerson Lofts, DONT live here. The management girls at the office are rude, misinformed and lazy. I bet it won't be funny when the pipes freeze in my 61 degree apartment and 18 degree outside because it wasn't funny when it was blowing out hot air, with no breeze and an apartment that hit 82 despite all of the windows being open.
They refuse to do anything to stop package thieves and it is a huge hassle. I am so sick of dealing with lost packages, and I don't understand why they can't have basic measures to prevent it. You will not have functional mail service.

I believe that many Section 8 high crime and downtrodden apartments get better votes than these properties do. Mike the area manager also contacted me to threaten legal action against me for making complaints for obvious discrimination on their behalf and Yelp reviews. They can't even afford a real attorney they have to go through Tschetter Hamrick and Sulzer who are EVICTION attorneys.
