I waited 40 minutes for a breakfast order for two. I requested the waitress to inquire as to its status. Ten minutes later, I found the manager informing him of the delay and how it had adversely affected my plans for the day. Five minutes later the food arrived. The waitress was never to be seen after the request after the 40 minute delay. The order consisted of avocado toast and pancakes, nothing complicated to prepare!
So we came to this restaurant as a pre nutcracker choice. My friend and I arrived separately. We both have the same name for the reservation but we’re seated at different tables. 15 minutes later we contacted each other to find this out. Another 20 minutes later our order was finally take. Needless to say we rushed. The tables are too close together leaving no room to even place a coat and the restaurant was crowded at this time. The food was not good and the servers didn’t understand our order correctly. Overprice and underwhelming. Won’t go back.
The first thing that comes to mind about this restaurant is the noise level which was way to high. I had a hard time hearing the folks at my table. The drinks, although tasty, had very little alcohol in them ($15+ for mostly juices and ice). The food portions weren't small but weren't large either (except for the desserts which were very large). The service was good, we never had to wait to have our water glasses filled or bread at our table.
I was very disappointed in our experience. The service wasa very good but we were seated at a table where I kept getting a blast of freezing air every time the door opened. The tables are shoved in and one can hardly move. There was nowhere to put my handbag as the floor was dirty so it sat on my lap throughout the meal. Only go there for the pizza or pasta. The meat is shockingly low quality and quantity.
We frequently have brunch at Fiorello but this will be our last time. I booked the reservation on Open Table and gave my name to the hostess and told her that I had a reservation. She just wanted to seat us quickly and didn’t check off the reservation. I later got an email from Open Table saying they were sorry we didn’t keep our reservation.
